It seems like we're bombarded with handy iPhone tricks and tips every day. This means it's hard to navigate what ones we should and shouldn't be paying attention to, but now, one former Apple employee has revealed the solid advice about which ones he uses every day.

Tyler Morgan is known for his Apple hacks, and as he regularly posts his iPhone tips on TikTok, you might want to pay attention.

First of all, Morgan explained how he never charges his phone above 80% or lets it get below 10%. This is apparently the optimum window to make sure you're getting the most out of your iPhone battery.

He also doesn't have his background app refresh function on and refuses to charge his iPhone overnight, while setting auto lock to one minute ensures he squeezes a little more juice out of his battery.

Morgan continues to hype setting his action button to ChatGPT, using the right-handed keyboard, and setting his back tap to flashlight (when pressing three times). Finally, he concludes by expanding on how pressing the side button three times will dim the brightness on his screen even more, a night shift setting to make the screen warmer between 10:00 pm and 06:00 am, and having a little fun by shaking your phone to undo. Morgan says he even does this by throwing it, although we'd make sure you have a sturdy case and screen protector if you're going to do that.

Notably, most of his tips are to do with saving battery, as well as a couple of accessibility ones thrown in. Given that we see constant complaints about how our batteries are being killed with every iOS update, it's good news that there are people like Morgan giving us a helping hand.

Thanking the ex-Apple employee for his advice, one person gave their own ideas and added: "A few more: If you charge overnight, use a 5w charger. Also, make a shortcut to fit your exact needs (I have mine to control my LED lights at night, and silent mode in the day)."

Morgan posted the video back when it looked like TikTok was going to be banned in the USA, but thankfully, it's been delayed and he continues to post his content. In a recent video, he's revealed the three things you should never buy, including a camera protector, a case from Apple, and certain types of screen protector.

Reiterating you can get non-Apple cases for a fraction of the past, Morgan explained how some of the more expensive screen protectors are likely to smash when compared to than their cheaper alternatives.

As well as videos trying to charge his iPhone with a banana and warning why now's not the time to buy an iPhone, Morgan has explained why he quit Apple. Telling his TikTok audience how there was an apparent clash between him and management at the Apple store he worked at, Morgan at least gives the warning that not every Apple store will be like this so it's important for people not to be put off.

When it comes to all things Apple, Tyler Morgan looks like the place to go.
