If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. That's what Apple seems to be going with, as it's just rolled out a beloved Google feature onto iPhone. Whether you like it or not, it's time accept that the future of our smartphones will be rooted in artificial intelligence, and to be honest, it was only a matter of time.
Apple has already dipped its toe in the world of AI, with the launch of iOS 18 being hyped up by the rollout of Apple Intelligence. However, a series of delays were the least of Apple's troubles, with some calling Apple Intelligence the 'worst' thing the company has ever done.
Things have slowly gotten better with each update, but with Apple delaying its massive Siri overhaul until 2026, the tech giant isn't exactly in the good books right now. Hoping to lure its ever-grouch consumers back, it’s just been confirmed that Gemini Live is coming to iPhone with all its bells and whistles.

While it's true that Google's Gemini was already available on iOS, it was a diluted version when compared to its Android counterpart.
Gemini Live could revolutionize iPhones

TechRadar's John-Anthony Disotto has branded Gemini Live the 'best' AI tool he's ever used, and now, iPhone users can finally see that in action. Notably, the previous version of Gemini lacked the ability to access your iPhone's camera or see what you were doing on your screen. As users can now grand access to both your camera and screen, Gemini Live can interact with your phone like never before.

Described as a 'better' version of Apple's Visual Intelligence, you can simply point your phone at an object and ask Gemini Live all about it without having to input any specific questions. As Disotto reminds us, Gemini Live can revolutionize your kitchen experience by guiding you through the process and even showing you information from a content creator's video without needing to touch your phone with dirty hands.
We were promised an Apple Intelligence-powered Siri back at WWDC 2024, and while we're left twiddling our thumbs, Apple's loss could be Google's gain. The rollout is currently underway, with Disotto sure iPhone users are going to fall in love with it. Although he's a firm Samsung stan, he says he now has "no reason not to return to the Apple ecosystem."
Others are similarly psyched that Gemini Live has found a new home on iPhone.
iPhone users are already in love with Gemini Live
One iPhone user cheered over on Reddit, saying: "I think it is better than chatgpt normal voice mode. But not as good as advanced voice. Disclaimer I have Gemini live buy don't have advanced voice."

Another said: "I agree with this, the low latency of Gemini live I like very much for back and forth conversations, not as groundbreaking as what OpenAI has but I'm grateful for the upgrades, they're all sinking billions to bring us this stuff for about $20."
Over on X, someone else said: "I set Gemini live as the action button on iPhone and it’s tremendous."
A fourth concluded: "The new Gemini Live feature is now available and it works flawlessly, such a useful feature ✨."
Despite the rollout seeming a little slow, iPhone users are more than ready to embrace the potential of Gemini Live.
