The watch could potentially save people's lives with this incredible new health feature available on the latest model.

Apple announced the introduction of the Apple Watch Series 10 during their 'Glowtime' event today.

The day has seen some major announcements including the iPhone 16 and a new AirPod models.

However, there's one specific new feature available on the Apple Watch that has got a lot of people talking.

The Apple Watch Series 10 will come fitted with an capability to detect sleep apnoea, which is a condition that causes people to suddenly stop breathing during sleep.

The device will be able to detect if the wearer is experiencing it.

Many people are impressed with the feature, with some taking to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their thoughts.

One user wrote: "That's the perfect use of AI."

Another said: "Awesome feature! Sleep apnea detection is such a game changer for health monitoring."

What other features will be available on the Apple Watch Series 10?

The watch will also have other exciting features, including the fact that the screen will be 40% brighter on an angle.

The watch itself is just 9.7 millimeters thick, making it 10% thinner than the Apple Watch Series 9.

Apple says that the larger screen will mean that users will be able to check their emails and messages at just a glance.

Another bonus is how quick it is to charge - taking just 30 minutes to reach 80% battery.

Which key Apple Watch features will remain available?

One particularly key feature of the Apple Watch is its water resistant capabilities. Users can dive to depths of 50 meters with their watch and this will remain for the Series 10.

People are excited to try out the new Apple product, with many taking to social media to share their reactions.

Many users are impressed by the watch's game-changing design, with one person commenting: "Wow so beautiful" and another adding: "Wow, so lovely".

Apple CEO Tim Cook said: “Today we’re building on the advanced technologies pioneered with Apple Watch to make it even more useful, essential and intelligent/”

Apple COO Jeff Williams introduced the model, which he described as having the “biggest wearable display we’ve ever built”

The Apple Watch Series 10 will cost $399 and is available to preorder today, meaning you could have on your wrist by the release date of September 20.
