After nearly a decade of being glued to our screens and putting up with agonizing waits, we're suiting up and ready roll our dice for one last game of Dungeons & Dragons with Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, and Eleven. The party is nearly over for 'The Party', as the Duffer Brothers are finally bringing Stranger Things to an end.

While we're sure the IP will live on in other ways, and there are plenty of ideas for spin-offs or prequels galore, the main story that started back on July 15, 2016, is set to bow out in devastating style. Arguably the biggest Netflix original to grace the streaming giant, Stranger Things has continued to break records as we head into the final furlong.

Still, there have been plenty of complaints when it comes to Season 5, and away from allegations that Millie Bobby Brown raised a bullying case against David Harbour, some have grumbled about the truncated release of episodes, while others have said it simply doesn't live up to the highs of previous seasons.

If all of this wasn't enough, the Duffer Brothers are now facing accusations that they've cut some imperative plot points, with enough material to make up a mythical 'missing' episode.

A viral Change.org petition is currently sitting at 310,000 signatures, with thousands more signing every hour.

Here, the OP claims that the Duffers, executive producer/director Shawn Levy, and Netflix have cut numerous scenes: "They must have cut out a lot of scenes from volume 2 and from our loved characters. I believe we as fans should stand up and take the initiative to get the footage and make the decision."

As well as calling for angry viewers to start a trending hashtag on X, they want you to make videos, but stop short of telling you to bang on the door of Netflix's headquarters.

Others in the comments agree, with one person writing: "I'm not sure the reasoning behind cutting hours off the series but it was just very sloppy for Netflix but we know you have the time and money!!! Give us back the scenes!!!!"

Another raged: "This show has been my entire life for nearly 10 years and you are going to rob us of these crucial scenes and not even allow us to see them?? Truly unacceptable."

However, the mystery of the missing scenes might not be all it seems.

While Netflix and the Duffer Brothers are yet to publicly acknowledge the petition, actor Randy Havens has debunked the rumors.

Taking to Instagram, the actor behind Hawkins Middle School's Scott Clarke defiantly called out those who started the petition. Having been part of the ensemble since the first episode, Havens wrote: "There is no Snyder Cut of the show, please don’t believe everything some random a** tells you on the internet.”

This is in reference to Zack Snyder's Justice League, which is the director's unrealized vision for 2017's Justice League, which is (ironically) available on Netflix.

While you might think this would put the whole sorry saga to bed, something tells us that those angry Stranger Things fans aren't done with this one just yet.
