Putin caught discussing 'immortality' with Chinese president in jaw-dropping clip

Putin has served as President from 2000–2008, and then since 2012

Some of the most powerful men in the world have gathered at a Beijing military parade, and while President Donald Trump says he isn't concerned about Vladimir Putin meeting with Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping, the rest of the world has been watching with bated breath.

After the President of Russia seemed to sound the alarm on World War III, there have been questions about how long this uneasy alliance with the USA will last and how it will end.

Appearing at his much-anticipated press briefing following a mysterious absence, Donald Trump said he wasn't worried about a potential 'axis' between China and Russia: "I am not concerned at all... We have the strongest military in the world, by far. They would never use their military on us. Believe me."

Still, with Xi Jinping hosting Putin and referring to him as an 'old friend', Trump's views on Truth Social suggest otherwise. A disgruntled POTUS shared a pointed jibe at Xi as he wrote: "Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un as you conspire against the United States of America."

It's true that China and Russia's leaders looked to be chummy in Beijing, with a hot mic moment catching the pair talking about immortality.

Captured on a livestream by Chinese state TV, the moment featured Putin, Xi, and Kim Jong Un walking through the historic Tiananmen Square.

As reported by the BBC, the conversation was relayed to Putin via a Mandarin translator and to Xi by a Russian one.

Xi seemingly said: "In the past, it used to be rare for someone to be older than 70, and these days they say that at 70 one's still a child."

Following an inaudible moment from Putin, his Mandarin translator added: "With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted, and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality."

Xi's translator continued: "Predictions are, this century, there's a chance of also living to 150 [years old]."

Russian state news agency Tass quoted Putin as later saying: "Modern recovery methods, medical methods, even surgical ones dealing with the replacement of organs, enable humanity to hope for active life to last longer than it does today.

"Average age is different in different countries but life expectancy will increase significantly."

The average global life expectancy in 2025 is 73.5 years, which is a huge jump for it being just 32 years in 1925. Still, that doesn't sound like it's enough for the 72-year-old Putin or the 72-year-old Xi.

It's a pretty dystopian conversation for two world leaders to be discussing the idea of organ transplants and extending their lives, but with so much money and power behind them, we wouldn't be surprised if it's not just a random conversation between the pair.

This wasn't the only futuristic topic of conversation, with Xi inspecting cutting-edge military equipment of hypersonic missiles and naval drones, stating that the world is on the cusp of 'peace or war'.
