Two key government figures have confirmed US President Donald Trump's claims that both Russia and China are conducting secret nuclear weapons tests, sharing the shocking statement on social media.
Nuclear tensions are escalating at an alarming rate as several of the world's most powerful nations are ramping up weapons testing, with the United States, China, and Russia at the forefront.
Amid peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, the latter has announced the success of tests for two separate nuclear weapons – including one that would create a 'tsunami of radiation' – putting fears into many that World War 3 could be just around the corner.
Now, President Donald Trump has ordered that the Pentagon will 'immediately' begin the testing of nuclear weapons for the first time in over three decades, amid claims that its adversaries have been doing the same in secret for a number of years now.

Speaking on in an interview with 60 Minutes, President Trump claimed: "The testing is because Russia announced that they were doing a test. If you notice, North Korea is testing constantly. Other countries are testing. We're the only country that doesn't test, and I don't want to be the only country that doesn't test."
He also claimed that China is testing weapons, and that we "just don't know about it," leading to two major national security figures to corroborate Trump's claims.
As reported by the New York Post, CIA Director John Ratcliffe simply wrote that "@realDonaldTrump is right" on X, attaching two screenshots relating to claims that Russia and China have been testing nuclear weapons.

The first image is a quite from Defense Intelligence Agency Director Lt. Gen. Robert Ashley Jr., who stated in May 2019 that there was a belief "that Russia probably is not adhering to the nuclear testing moratorium in the manner consistent with the zero-yield standard."
Additionally, there is another image of a Wall Street Journal article from April 2020, pointing towards possible Chinese nuclear testing at the government's Lop Nur site.
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Tom Cotton has echoed Ratcliffe's thoughts, quoting the post and stating:

"After consultations with Director Ratcliffe and his team, they have confirmed to me that the CIA assesses that both Russia and China have conducted super-critical nuclear weapons tests in excess of the U.S. zero-yield standard.
"These tests are not historic and are part of their nuclear modernization programs," Cotton added.
It's unclear whether these tests around the world will escalate to any further action or conflict, but many are right to be worried about what it might signal, causing people to be fearful for the future.
