Famed streamer Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker has been caught in the midst of an anti-ICE protest and filmed being stunned by a police flashbang.
The notably leftist streamer has made a name for himself on Twitch, but whereas most keep to themselves online, he's made a name for himself as something of a political activist.
Piker even waded into the recent Donald Trump and Elon Musk drama, writing: "Elon Musk was a political loser EVEN with the Trump base in tow. The Democrats should not offer a lifeline to him—but ofc they love being losers so they probably will."
Posting on Twitch on June 8, Piker took part in a stream titled, "ICE RAIDS IN LA! NATIONAL GUARD DEPLOYED?! GET ICE OUT OF LA PROTESTS! SUNDAY PROTEST DAY!"

Five and a half hours into the stream, Piker was seemingly caught by some of the Los Angeles Police Department's anti-protest controls. With several loud bangs being heard, a visibly shocked HasanAbi stumbled toward the camera.
Saying, "I think they're going to push it from this side," you can then hear a loud bang. The stunned Piker continued, "Oh, f**k. That f**ked my hair up."
While Piker continues to laugh, another loud bang is heard, with him adding: "Oh, Jesus Christ. They're f**king, like, wait, hold on. Oh, they're starting to walk. There is a secondary line back here."
There are then even more bangs, and over on the LivestreamFail Reddit, many applauded Piker for putting himself in that position.
One said: "I normally dont fw hasan bc despite being on a similar side he's often a bit extreme. I've got mad respect for getting out there. takes sack."
Another added: "Rare Hasan W. This is the kind of coverage someone with a platform his size should be doing."
A third concluded: "Not a fan of Hasan but respect for actually going out there instead of hiding at home given his rhetoric."
Piker was recently in the news when he said he was detained and subjected to a two-hour interrogation from US Customs and Border Protection agents when returning to the USA. The divisive streamer claims he was quizzed on everything from his views on President Trump to his public criticism of Israel.
Saying he reiterated his First Amendment rights, the streamer explained he was a 'pacifist' who wanted “the endless bloodshed to end." He concluded: "I just kept repeating that over and over again."
Elsewhere, HasanAbi has spoken out about Kick and the recent boom of streamers leaving Twitch for its rival. Calling out the likes of Asmongold, Piker said: "Every single one of these accounts Is basically doing promo for kick. all the blue check mark power farmers. its a way to try and lure people into streaming there. kick dumps money on rich and famous streamers laps, causing the false belief that the avg joe will also generate $$."
