Nostradamus’ terrifying 2025 predictions for end of year hint at the ‘silent’ collapse of the West

Despite having lived nearly 500 years ago, famous physicist and astrologer Michel de Nostredame – known more commonly as Nostradamus – has become an iconic figure due to the continued veracity of his centuries-old predictions.

He has seemingly correctly predicted countless historical events across the last half a millennia, issuing prophecies that foretold everything from the death of Henry II in 1559 to the rise of Adolf Hitler and World War II in the middle of the 20th century.

Of course, many of his predictions – especially those in modern times – are relatively vague and don't relay any form of specific information, yet people have been able to broadly apply his writings to the current day and some have even managed to 'recreate' his foresight using artificial intelligence.

Much like fellow mystic Baba Vanga who died back in 1996, Nostradamus has an alarming number of predictions for 2025, and people have focused on a particularly scary one that could see the 'silent' collapse of the West towards the year's end.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the prediction from Nostradamus that many are focusing on entails:

"When Mars rules his path among the stars, human blood will sprinkle the sanctuary. Three fires rise from the eastern sides, while the West loses its light in silence."

While you might not be able to immediately parse any meaning from those words – especially when relating it to events that might occur towards the end of 2025 – some have offered rather terrifying interpretations of this passage.

Mars, as you might know, is the Roman god of war, so that first part appears to suggest that a major conflict is coming that will cause significant loss of human life as a result.

Many are worried that actions from the current Trump administration are preparing the United States for war, perhaps with a rival foreign nation such as China, and that would certainly line up with the rest of the prediction.

The 'three fires' in question is typically associated with powerful nations that are growing in power across the global 'East', with the West 'losing its light in silence' suggesting that it will perish and diminish in status in the aftermath of this war.

While there's nothing particularly suggesting that this prediction will definitively come true or happen before the year comes to a close, many are seeing current political trends and global tensions as a sign that something like this could be on the horizon, and it's definitely a prediction that we all hope Nostradamus isn't on the money for.
