Multimillionaire biohacker Bryan Johnson reveals how to have the 'perfect' night's sleep in 10 'life-changing' tips

Biohacker Bryan Johnson and his dedication to turning back the clock on aging has been well-documented.

Johnson, a tech entrepreneur, made a whole lot of cash after selling his payment processing tech business, Braintree, to PayPal for $800 million a decade ago.

The 46-year-old takes over 100 supplements a day and reportedly spends around $2 million a year on his project, called Blueprint.

Now he's shared some more insights into his routine - notably about sleep.

In a YouTube clip titled 'How I fixed my terrible sleep', Johnson shares 10 habits for getting that perfect sleep score, if it's something you track, of course.

The video caption says: "Sleep will give you superpowers. It’s the cornerstone of my Blueprint routine, and the most important thing I do every day".

Johnston talks through the 10 things he does routinely to ensure sleep is his number one priority. He said you need to start by 'identifying as a professional sleeper', which he says is about making "sleep your number one priority".

He says you should have a consistent bedtime, for him it's 8:30pm. Added to that you need to have a wind-down routine.

"I would encourage you create a ritual, read a book, go for a walk, do some favorite hobby, but avoid screens and avoid anything that's going to get you aroused, don't have fights, and don't tackle hard problems," he says.

He advises people to eat early - and reveals he has his last meal of the day at 11am.

Acknowledging this "may sound early to you", he says everyone should try to "explore eating earlier and trying to avoid big heavy meals at the end of the day".

Other tips are to avoid stimulants like alcohol and caffeine, and to regulate light in the evening. He further says that maintaining an ideal temperate while you sleep is key, as is creating a peaceful sleeping environment.

He suggests sleeping alone if you can, explaining that it's "hard to synchronise sleep routines and preferences of two people", but that solo sleeping may "yield higher quality sleep".

And getting natural light within the first hour of waking is also important, he says.

The video description also contains an explanation from Johnson on what Blueprint is.

It reads: "I’ve invested millions of dollars building the world’s leading anti-aging protocol, becoming the most measured human in history.

"Blueprint is an algorithm, built by science, that takes better care of me than I can myself".
