YouTuber MrBeast says he's borrowing money for his wedding despite being an official billionaire 'on paper'.
Jimmy 'MrBeast' Donaldson has built a YouTube empire by giving away eye-watering amounts of cash.
Donaldson's rise on YouTube evolved from posting clips of his Minecraft world to doing crazy challenge videos like ‘Surviving The 5 Deadliest Places On Earth' to recreating a real-life Squid Game. Now, even other prominent creators and A-list celebrities have gotten involved.

As his content continues to pull in millions of views, he's also expanded his reach through business ventures like MrBeast Burger, Feastables, and snack brand Lunchly, and more recently, starring in a Netflix hit series.
Although he has never confirmed his exact net worth, estimates place him close to the $1 billion mark.

But while his companies might be worth billions on paper, Donaldson says his personal bank account tells a different story. In fact, the internet personality revealed that he's borrowing money from his mother to pay for his upcoming wedding.
"I personally have very little money because I reinvest everything (I think this year we’ll spend around a quarter of a billion on content)," he wrote on X, replying to Dexerto's post. "Ironically i’m actually borrowing $ from my mom to pay for my upcoming wedding lol"
He added: "But sure, on paper the businesses I own are worth a lot."
On an episode of Steven Bartlett’s ‘A Diary of a CEO’ podcast, MrBeast was asked if he had joined the billionaire club. “On paper? Yeah," he replied. "But in my actual bank account, I have less than a million dollars."

According to Celebrity Net Worth, MrBeast became one of just 16 billionaires under the age of 30 last month. And he is the only one under 30 to 'not have inherited his wealth' from his parents.
The YouTuber was also open about the money that goes into the production of his content and hit TV show, where he often goes over budget. Often, MrBeast reveals snippets of how much income certain ads and popular videos bring him. For example, his French-dubbed MrBeast channel earns him $63,000 a month, while MrBeast en español excels, raking in $96,000 a month.
Meanwhile, Donaldson reportedly lost over $10 million producing his ‘Beast Games’ series on Amazon Prime.

But with contestants already signing up for Season 2, the loss is turning into an investment.
He’s now seeking to raise 'hundreds of millions' in outside funding, which could push the valuation of his entire enterprise to around $5 billion, Bloomberg wrote. So, there's a good chance Donaldson's mother will see her money return.
