Earlier this year, President Donald Trump announced the introduction of his Trump Accounts program, which is designed to give eligible children a one-off $1,000 payment from the US government.
Since then, Michael and Susan Dell have made an appearance at the White House to reveal their own contribution of $6.25 billion to the initiative, which will give certain children an additional $250 to those who live within a ZIP code area where the median household income is below $117,300.
Despite the large donation, the move proved to be controversial with critics arguing that wealthy investors should not be able to donate their own personal company stocks to Trump Accounts.

Hitting back at this, Michael stated to Yahoo Finance: “It’s kind of hard for me to believe that’s a bad thing, right? That these children are going to somehow be negatively influenced because they now have one share of SpaceX, but they didn't have before, right? The alternative is they didn’t have it, right?”
Look inside the Dell’s $10 million penthouse
Since then, the couple have listed their $10 million penthouse located in Boston, which is situated on the 59th storey of Millenium Tower.
According to the listing on Paramount Auctions, the luxury apartment includes ‘dramatic gas fireplaces, a bespoke Christopher Peacock kitchen, and a rare private sky terrace’.

It comes with three en-suites as well as a primary suite with a ‘full-slab marble spa bath’, but that’s not all, because buying the penthouse comes with full access to the building’s private club.
This means ‘Michael Mina dining, a 75-foot pool, wellness spas, and 24/7 white-glove concierge service’.
The home is described as ‘never truly lived in’ and in pristine condition, which you’d probably expect with the hefty price tag. The penthouse is being auctioned, with the reserve price set at $6.5 million, having previously sold for $10.9 million.
The listing continues: “Millennium LaVie® Lifestyle Management: Dedicated round-the-clock estate management, doorman, and private security.

“Comprehensive Wellness Center: Access to a 10,000-square-foot health suite featuring private Pilates studios, steam rooms, and an FLX fitness facility.
“Exclusive Resident Spaces: Private access to an in-house screening room, library, parlor lounge, and outdoor terrace overlooking Downtown Boston.”
The Dell’s contribution to the Trump Accounts program
Both Michael and Susan Dell appeared alongside Trump at a press briefing in the Oval Office earlier this month, where they announced their plans to contribute to the Trump Accounts program.

Naysayers of the initiative believe that linking the investments of children to individual firms could raise ethical issues. The potential for these companies’ stock prices to be manipulated through this has also been raised.
Despite this, Susan implored parents to make the most of Trump Accounts for their children, claiming that it is about ‘knowing that someone believes in you and your future, that matters just as much’.
She added: “So to every child across the country, these accounts are for you. We believe in you, and we want you to dream big because we know you can make your dreams come true.”
