Erika Kirk has revealed the surgeon’s words about her husband Charlie Kirk’s death following his assassination.

Erika has been speaking at Charlie’s memorial today (September 21), which is taking place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Charlie had been appearing at Utah Valley University (UVU) where he was on stage addressing a 3,000-strong crowd as part of his ‘American Comeback’ tour when he was struck in the neck by a gunshot.

It was later confirmed that he had died as a result of his injuries and an FBI manhunt ensued.

22 year old Tyler Robinson was later arrested under suspicion of murder before making his first court appearance on Tuesday (September 16) via video link from Utah County Jail where he is currently being held, which is where he heard that prosecutors would be seeking the death penalty.

Speaking at his memorial, which is also being live streamed online for viewers at home, Erika revealed what the surgeon told her about her husband’s death after he was assassinated earlier this month.

Addressing the crowd, Erika said: “I looked directly at my husband’s murdered body. I saw the wound that ended his life, but there was something else. Even in death, I could see the man that I love.

“I saw the one, single grey hair on the side of his head, which I never told him about. Now he knows. Sorry baby, I'm telling you now.”

Erika went on to say the surgeon had told her that Charlie did not in any way suffer.

She continued: “I also saw on his lips the faintest smile. And that told me something important. It revealed to me a great mercy from God in this tragedy. When I saw that, it told me Charlie didn’t suffer. Even the doctor told me - it was something so instant.”

TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet has previously spoken about Charlie’s death, as he penned on X, formerly Twitter: “I want to address some of the discussion about the lack of an exit wound with Charlie. I’m usually not interested in delving into most of this kind of online chatter, and I apologize this is somewhat graphic, but in this case, the fact that there wasn’t an exit wound is probably another miracle, and I want people to know.

The spokesperson added: “I just spoke with the surgeon who worked on Charlie in the hospital... He said the bullet ‘absolutely should have gone through, which is very very normal for a high powered, high velocity round. I’ve seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc’. But it didn’t go through. Charlie’s body stopped it.”
