Police have revealed that the dismembered body found in a Tesla vehicle owned by popular singer D4vd, known by his real name David Anthony Burke, has been identified with the performer cooperating with police while on his world tour.

The incident emerged when the Los Angeles Police Department was alerted to a strange odor emanating from a parked Tesla vehicle at around 12:30 pm local time on Monday, September 8.

The car had been sat in the same spot for several days at that point, and upon prising the trunk open police were able to find a body wrapped in plastic that appeared to be actively decomposing.

The car itself was revealed to be registered to 'Romantic Homicide' singer D4vd in Hempstead, and possessed license plates from Texas, and a spokesperson for the singer has since confirmed that Burke was informed about what had been discovered and was cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.

He is currently continuing on his world tour, where he was videoed throwing Labubu dolls into the crowd following the discovery of the body, yet he has not shared any further posts on Instagram since the police incident emerged.

As reported by the New York Post, the body itself has now been identified by police, although her name has now been revealed at this point in time as authorities are still notifying family members.

She is estimated to be between 14 and 15 years old, measuring 5 feet and 2 inches and weighing roughly 71 pounds, which has been noted to be significantly lighter than someone of her age and height should weigh.

Additionally, she was found wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow bracelet and metal stud earrings, and she also possessed a tattoo on her right index finger that said "Shhh..."

When police discovered the young girl the California heat – accentuated by the plastic wrapping – had caused her body to decompose so much that it wasn't fully intact.

Despite persevering on with his tour, which continued with a stop in Portland, Oregon last night and picks up in San Francisco on September 19, Burke has suffered as a result of the police investigation with a recent brand deal with Crocs and Hollister falling apart.

The products that he had previously modeled for have since been released onto shelves, but D4vd's face has been cropped out and isn't present in any form throughout the marketing.
