The devastated family of a teenage girl who was found in the trunk of a Tesla belonging to the singer d4vd have spoken out.

The body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 15, was found last week by police after she was reported missing back in April 2024.

This came after the authorities were called to an impound lot in Los Angeles after there were reports of a ‘foul smell’ emitting from a Tesla vehicle that had been left abandoned for a month.

Speaking to the press at the time, Captain Robert Peters said: “We were notified this morning and the car's been here for a couple of days.”

The teen’s body was found inside the Cybertruck that was revealed to be registered to singer d4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, who is currently in the middle of his US tour.

A representative for Burke told the press that the singer was ‘fully cooperating with the authorities’. He has not been charged with any crime.

Since then, the family of Hernandez have spoken out in a post made on GoFundMe, where they paid tribute to her.

It read: “As many of you know, Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the body found last week. She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss. They are seeking help to lay her body to rest. Any funds you are able to donate are greatly appreciated.”

At the time of writing, over $11,000 has been raised so far towards the cause.

According to the page, the teen’s funeral is set to take place next month.

An appeal was shared last year after Hernandez vanished, which detailed that she had last been seen in Lake Elsinore in California.

The teen was last seen wearing grey pants, a black sweater, a hat and Hello Kitty sandals. Celeste was described as being 5ft 3in, 120 pounds and having brown eyes and dark brown hair.

Her cause of death and the circumstances surrounding it remain unclear, however, officials suspect she may have been deceased for a long period of time.

Authorities discovered her wearing a tube top with black leggings, a yellow bracelet, and metal stud earrings.

She also had a tattoo on her right index finger that read ‘Shhh…’ while her body was also reportedly wrapped in plastic and locked in the trunk of the Tesla.

LADbible Group previously contacted a representative for d4vd for comment.
