PlayStation Plus is fantastic for the sheer number of games that you get access to for free, yet it can become a bit of a stress when you get to the end of the month and find out that the next game on your backlog is just about to leave.

That's unfortunately the nature of subscription services that always have a rotating library, as there will almost always reach a point where that game that you want to play but have been putting off won't be there anymore.

It can be easy to become overwhelmed by the fantastic games on offer through PlayStation Plus every month as you get access to everything from the year's best releases to underrated gems, but you can't play every single one after all.

That's why staying on top of which titles are leaving the service each month can help you keep your priorities in check, and there are seven games that PS Plus subscribers have been urged to download and play this time around before they depart at the end of September.

Which games are leaving PS Plus in September?

As reported by GAMINGbible, there are seven games added to the 'Last Chance To Play' section, meaning that they'll be officially removed from the service's library at some point in September.

Here are all of the games that you might want to consider downloading before they leave in the next few weeks:

  • UFC 5
  • The Plucky Squire
  • Road 96
  • Pistol Whip
  • Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir
  • F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch
  • Dragon's Crown Pro

Collectively these games will take roughly 83.5 hours to complete according to data from HowLongToBeat, although Odin Sphere makes up just under half of that on its own.

By far the shortest game on offer here is Pistol Whip, which can be completed in a mere 2 hour session, and you can also potentially earn the platinum in just 7 hours if you're an avid trophy hunter.

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is also the best reviewed game of those leaving PS Plus, earning an 87 on Metacritic from 49 reviews in total, although both the aforementioned Pistol Whip and The Plucky Squire gained a respectable 83, making them well worth your time.

Comments on Reddit also have repeatedly suggested that people dive into Road 96, praising it for its great story and chill atmosphere that's akin to a road trip.

As this list of games has technically been revealed earlier than expected due to it appearing on the Japanese version of PSN it's unclear exactly when the games will be leaving the service.

However, it's typically around the middle of the month, so expect to have another three to four weeks to get these completed, and perhaps a bit longer if you want to go for the platinum trophies too.
