Phone cases usually have the one job of protecting your device in the event of accidents or just clumsy hands.

But some phone cases are admittedly cooler than others.

A former Apple employee, known for filming iPhone hacks like turning the smartphone into a Gameboy or revealing hidden keyboard features, shared a new innovative phone case that does a surprisingly cool trick.

The Apple expert shared the unboxing of his new case on his TikTok channel and presented how 'shockingly easy' it is to put on the phone.

The standout feature of this case is its ability to scan any photo on your iPhone and display it on the back cover – which is pretty neat!

'I don't understand how it works but I like it,' the TikToker expressed.

Additionally, the case has an adjustable lens bracket that provides an extra layer of protection for the smartphone's camera. However, in terms of screen protection, the tech expert insists his audience 'absolutely get a screen protector'.

As a demonstration, The TikToker does a couple of drop tests to see if the case is worth it, which it is, despite a chip on the corner of his screen.

Viewers on TikTok have been flooding the TikTok comments with their thoughts.

One TikTok user said: 'Photocard case without the photocard' whilst another remarked: 'why do i need this.'

The case is called the Reinkstone Reink Case which supports anything from the iPhone 13 to iPhone 15, including both Pro and Pro Max.

Not to forget, the case also has another useful feature within it.

The adjustable lens bracket can also act as a stand if you're someone who prefers hands-free when on a video call or just want to stream a movie.

Given its position though, the iPhone would only ideally work if placed horizontally rather than otherwise.

Other comments as well as the video creator are curious as to how the technology of the case works.

It is in fact a small E-Ink display that is built into the back of the case, similar to some Amazon Kindle models.

Users can download an app from the Apple App Store that allows them to scan the pictures on their iPhone and then choose an image for the E-Ink display on the back of the case.

If you like the sound of this case, unfortunately it's not going cheap. Users can choose between black or blue as a case colour, but the total cost is just shy of $100 per case.
