iPhone users warned some Apple Intelligence features are subject to daily limits and will eventually cost extra
With the release of the new iOS 27, Apple has introduced improvements to its own version of AI, known as Apple Intelligence.
This comes with an all new Siri AI, which the tech giant describes as being an even more capable digital assistant with ‘expanded intelligence’ to be more helpful every day.
Apple explains: “Siri AI can help users find what they need in the moment, from answering questions on virtually any topic to surfacing relevant information from a user’s messages, emails, photos, and more. And Apple Intelligence makes everyday experiences across Apple products more personal and helpful with new editing capabilities in Photos, intelligent browsing tools in Safari, an all-new Image Playground that can create photorealistic imagery, and more.”
However, there is a small detail that users might not be aware of, and this is the fact that some of the Apple Intelligences will be subject to daily limits and these will eventually cost extra to gain access to.

This was detailed in the fine print of a release by Apple when Siri AI first launched earlier this month.
In the note, the company pointed out that certain Apple Intelligence features that ‘rely on server-side models are subject to daily usage limits’.
This includes but is not limited to Siri AI, intelligent photo editing tools, Image Playground, and AFM 3 Cloud models in Shortcuts.
The daily limits put in place will vary depending on the feature, request complexity, system demand, system policies, and other factors.
And here’s the kicker, if you want expanded access to certain limited features then it looks like this will be available in the future, but for an additional fee.
Apple has not yet given users a timeline of when to expect these fees to be available to purchase but rumors predict this might be scheduled to come into effect in 2027.
You can see what Siri AI sends to the Cloud
With the release of Apple Intelligence, there have also been concerns voiced about the privacy and security of inputting personal information into an AI model, and it turns out that there is a little-known feature which could give you more insight into what Siri AI is doing.
The feature in question in the Apple Intelligence report, which shares information requisitions sent from the AI model to Private Cloud Compute.
Apple explains: “Private Cloud Compute uses larger, server-based models. The data being processed in Private Cloud Compute is not stored or made accessible to Apple.
“It is processed only to fulfill your request, after which point the results are returned securely to your device and are not retained by Private Cloud Compute. And independent privacy and security researchers can verify this privacy promise at any time.”
