iPhone users can see what information their Siri AI sends to the Cloud with a little-known setting
Earlier this month, Apple released its new operating system update to the world, known as iOS 27, and with it comes a whole host of new features including significant improvements to Apple Intelligence.
Apple Intelligence is the firm’s own version of AI which operates with Siri and is designed to be ‘centered around you and your needs’.
With concerns raised from experts about the risks surrounding AI, there have also been questions raised about the privacy policies put into place when using Apple’s model.
However, it turns out that there is a way for iPhone users to get an inside look into what information their own Siri AI is sending to the Cloud, and what is truly private.

This is because there is a little-known setting offered by the tech giant which breaks down the data that has been sent from your device to the Cloud.
How to access your Apple Intelligence report
The feature in question in the Apple Intelligence report, which shares information requisitions sent from the AI model to Private Cloud Compute.
Apple explains: “Private Cloud Compute uses larger, server-based models. The data being processed in Private Cloud Compute is not stored or made accessible to Apple.
“It is processed only to fulfill your request, after which point the results are returned securely to your device and are not retained by Private Cloud Compute. And independent privacy and security researchers can verify this privacy promise at any time.”
To create an Apple Intelligence report for your device, first head to the Settings app on your iPhone and select Privacy & Security.
From there, click on Apple Intelligence Report and choose the report duration. This can be requested for the last 15 minutes or the last seven days.
Select Export Activity and choose a place to store the file before hitting Export.
Once this is done, you’ll be able to open the file with a text reader to view the content. If the report is empty, this will be because there haven’t been any Private Cloud Compute requests in the duration.
Concerns raised over AI ‘Internet Takeover’ threat
Experts have been raising alarm bells in recent months over the growing risks surrounding the AI.
Earlier this month, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei shared a new essay where he warned that the ‘AI industry should slow down’, adding that AI ‘swarms’ could take over the internet in as soon as six months.
This warning from Amodei was met with support from other figures in the industry, with Elon Musk writing on X, formerly Twitter: “Dario is right.”
Meanwhile, OpenAI’s Sam Altman added: “I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier. This has been a primary topic of discussions we’ve had at OpenAI in recent weeks. Committing to having independent evaluators with employee-like access is a great idea, and we will do the same. We’ll have more to share soon.”
