
Apple has announced a new model of the Apple Watch which will detect a serious health issue that impacts a whopping 1.3 billion adults.
Apple's 'awe dropping' event is currently underway, with the tech giant announcing a host of new features, including the new Apple Watch Series 11 which will come with WatchOS 26.
During the event, Apple CEO Tim Cook described the Apple Watch as the 'most popular watch in the world'.

The Apple Watch comes with potentially life saving features including sleep tracking known as 'Sleep Score' and health monitoring.
The watch will also include a health feature to monitor the user's blood pressure, with the event describing high blood pressure as a 'silent killer'.
On X, formerly Twitter, one user shared: "Apple Watch will now have high blood pressure warnings! They expect it to warn over a million people in the first year."
The Apple Watch Series 11 will be available from September 19 and prices will start from $399.
Apple announces a range of new products
Apple have also announced other products including a ‘must have upgrade’ with the groundbreaking AirPods Pro 3, as the latest models of AirPods having just been unveiled at today’s ‘special’ Apple event.

These new AirPods will come with some key features including live translation for speaking to people in different languages, upgraded active noise cancellation and even a potentially live saving heart rate monitor.
The live translation will be powered by Apple Intelligence to improve communication between different languages.
The earphones will come with a new design featuring smaller earbuds and an improved fit.
They will also come with a longer battery life, boasting eight hours per charge and will also have up 10 hours battery for its Hearing Aid feature to assist those who are hard of hearing.

The AirPods Pro 3 will be available to buy from September 19.
Brand new iPhone 17 and iPhone Air
A major announcement came with the unveiling of four new phone models including the 'iPhone Air' that's the 'most durable yet'.
The tech giant gave fans a first look at the latest model of iPhone, with the new range expected to be the first ones to use iOS 26’s Liquid Glass design.

The screen of the base model will have a larger display than previous models, with a 6.3 inch display, and the frame of the iPhone Air will be made of titanium, with the firm stating that it will be the most durable iPhone yet.
Meanwhile, the Pro version will have a 48 megapixel camera and speed will also improve, with Apple announcing that gaming will be better than ever on the iPhone.

It’s not known how much the devices will cost but it has been speculated that the iPhone 17 base model could start from $850, with the new Air model going for around $899.
