An infamous streamer could be jailed for a whopping 46 years after the disturbing things he did during a livestream.

Johnny Somali, whose real name is Ramsey Khalid Ismael, is currently on trial after he was arrested in South Korea last year.

Facing multiple charges, Somali found an online following due to his antics causing mayhem in the streets of Japan and Israel.

The American content creator later traveled to South Korea where he visited a theme park in September 2024.

According to the investigation, Somali played text-to-speech during his stream claiming that he wanted to engage in inappropriate acts with children.

The streamer has already pleaded guilty to three obstruction of business charges and two countries of violating the minor crimes act.

Somali has pleaded not guilty to two deepfake charges.

A YouTuber who goes by the name Legal Mindset has been covering the case, in which he said: “They did indeed decide not to bring this [the incident at the theme park] to trial, but at that point they didn’t have all the information. They didn’t have all the evidence.”

However, things might have since changed as the alleged crimes could violate the child welfare act where it states ‘committing sexual harassment against a child that may make him or her feel sexually ashamed’.

If found guilty, this crime comes with a maximum sentence of 10 years behind bars with labor or up to a 50 million South Korean won ($36,200) fine.

And that’s not all, because there could be multiple counts of the potential child welfare act violation, this could push his sentencing up even higher, meaning he is at risk of facing a 46 year prison sentence.

The YouTuber will face a full day of testimony in his next court appearance, which is scheduled to take place on August 13, 2025.

Somali was previously banned from visiting Jerusealem and Japan due to his behavior there and has been banned from Twitch and Kick.

People have taken to social media to share their own thoughts on the controversial creator, with one user writing on Reddit: “Imagine defending a self admitted racist and sociopath who travels to other countries just to harass people and cause a disturbance without thinking anything is going to happen to him. ‘Woah, these people are sensitive’. No, you're just dense.”

And another added, “He’s not a sociopath, he’s a little b*tch. This is what society breeds when there’s no more accountability.”
