With each passing day, it feels more and more like we're in an episode of Black Mirror. While streaming really took off during the pandemic when we'd spend hours watching streamers mouth off playing Fortnite, Twitch has continued to boom and boasts over 124 million monthly active users in 2025.
Although the controversial Kai Cenat is the most-followed channel on Twitch, he's far from the most divisive person to stream. Twitch has had to deal with controversies surrounding hot tubs, yoga pants, and the Dr Disrespect scandal, but proving that almost nothing is off limits, a woman has now given birth while live-streaming.
Feeling like the premise of the controversial "Common People" episode, where people are paid to do humiliating things on a stream, the dystopian incident unfolded when a streamer called Fandy announced that her waters had broken.

The pregnant streamer then took to her "đ´BABY TIME. LIVE BIRTHđ´! đśđťđ¸ âĄ" stream that lasted nearly nine hours and peaked at 29,489 viewers. Even though it wasn't exactly a record-breaking Twitch stream in terms of viewers, things get even weirder when you realize Twitch CEO Dan Clancy was in the chat. Clancy even popped up to congratulate Fandy on her little bundle of joy.
At one point, Fandy said, "Hola guys, arrives pronto baby," adding, "Iâve waited forever for her. Get the hell out already!" Clancy's congratulations came in the form of the Twitch CEO writing: "Fandy. Best of luck and congratulations. Wishing you the best in this journey."
Where some called it the "ultimate Just Chatting stream," others called out Clancy for allowing the graphic stream and the fact that he even tuned in.
One critic piped up saying: "Dan Clancy and everybody in that room needs to be arrested. They didn't commit a crime, we just can't have people like this a part of society."

Another added: "Honestly I think this is pushing it, somethingâs shouldnât be live streamed and the CEO coming in like nuns happening is insane đ."
A third said: "What a f**king old ass creep Dan Clancy is."
Others were critical of Fandy in general. One vocal person said: "Idk man, calm me too woke or whatever but sharing a special moment like this with the entire world just because u wanna make a little bit of money seems rlly sh!tty to me tbh."
Someone said that the stream wasn't a big deal as they concluded: "If they were breaking the rules Dan Clancy wouldnât of let her do it Twitch was fine with it."

With Clancy due in Congress, the latest debacle has some unfortunate timing.
