When you put your entire life online, there are obvious fears about privacy.
While the harshest critics claim that streamers attract this kind of attention simply by the career path they choose, there has been an alarming rise in the number of terrifying and sometimes violent situations involving streamers.
Alongside CCTV capturing the moment Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa was violently robbed, gunshots were heard at Adin Ross' soccer event, and Twitch was forced to respond when three female streamers were threatened while live on a stream.

The likes of Twitch, Kick, and Rumble offer genuine sources of income to these content creators, although some are more successful than others.
As one of the biggest streamers around, Kai Cenat has become known for his streaming marathons as he's hobnobbed with celebrities, or tried to play the likes of Elden Ring and the rest of FromSoftware's Soulslike games.
He's also garnered plenty of negative press when he was accused of 'bullying' his robot pal, as well as calls for him to be banned from the platform over a shocking 'hanging' prank.

Now, Dexerto reports on the bizarre incident where Cenat woke up to find a fan in his room while he was sleeping. Cenat is no stranger to sleeping in front of people while doing his streamathons, but we imagine he didn't expect to wake up and find someone physically in the room with him.
Speaking during an April 29 stream, Cenat explained an incident that happened 'a while ago' and said: "I never told y’all this. Imagine you sleep, Gang, I woke up to a man looking over me saying, ‘Kai, what’s up bro? How you doing bro?’ Word to my mother, I almost clapped him but God was with me."
Adding that the guy was only like 17, Cenat continued: "He had Arizona, grapes, strawberry shortcake, and Capri Sun in a bag. He said, ‘Bro, this is all your favorite things, I came to deliver this for you, bro’.”

Saying that it was a bizarre experience, the streamer added: "Chat, I really woke up to somebody in my room! I woke up, I jumped up, I was looking around, grabbed my gun, and said ‘who are you?'"
Although he was shaken by finding an intruder in his room, he now sees it as an important learning curve: "That is really wild, you feel me. This is before we had security heavy. That s*it really scary, bro."

This isn't the only time he faced a potential home invasion, with one fan driving 13 hours to his house in April 2025. The fan apparently claimed that Cenat had offered for him to show up, although the streamer said this wasn't the case.
Things have been tightened up now, with Cenat concluding: "Security is really on that now, security is really fully on that. Cameras everywhere, everything."
