Disney+ fans vow to switch off over new series starring Kim Kardashian and Glenn Close

Many aren't too excited to watch this new Disney+ show

New trailers and TV shows often spark fiery discussion across social media, but one recent announcement from Disney+ has left some vowing to 'switch off' the streaming service in response to one particular star.

It's safe to say that nobody's starved for choice when it comes to TV shows anymore, as the myriad of streaming services give viewers a near endless barrage of options to binge at their leisure.

Normally the biggest frustration that you'll face is news of a cancellation just as you're beginning to enjoy a show, and it's something that many Netflix subscribers are all too familiar with at this point.

However, sometimes just a trailer is enough to rile some people up, and Disney+ is the latest to face the brunt of viewers that aren't too pleased with a new announcement - with one major celebrity seemingly at the heart of most complaints.

'All's Fair' - the new show from American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy - has finally received it's first trailer ahead of its release on Disney+ sometime in the near future, and it certainly has a star-studded cast.

Murphy regular Sarah Paulson is joined by big names like Naomi Watts and Glenn Close as the show follows a successful all-female law firm in Los Angeles, with all the twists you'd expect from a show by this particular creator.

It's the inclusion of mega celebrity and reality TV sensation Kim Kardashian that appears to have left many enraged though, with some even promising to cancel their Disney+ subscriptions in response.

"Kim... again? Just no. Not streaming," writes one user on X, adding that "literally minus her and the cast would've been great."

Another adds that "Kim is such a horrible actress it makes no sense," with a third proclaiming: "I think it's time to cancel my subscription."

This isn't Kim Kardashian's first major TV role, as she's even previously starred in the aforementioned American Horror Story's 12th season as a recurring character, but it's clear that many wouldn't exactly consider themselves a fan.

Her current professional interests might actually prove to be a boon for this particular show though, as Kardashian began training to become a lawyer in 2019 - following in her famous father's footsteps - and passed the 'baby bar' exam in late 2021.

She has since paused her 'dreams' of becoming a lawyer, as reported by the Mirror, which perhaps coincided with her role in All's Fair, but you wonder whether her more direct experience will give her a leg up when the show takes to Disney+ screens soon.
