Netflix fans binging '10/10' series in one night that has them on the 'edge of their seat'

Absolute madness

If Tom Hardy’s latest Netflix drop had your brain doing backflips, there's a new series that's been turning the heads of viewers on the platforms for the right reasons, and this one’s a whole lot easier to follow.

This political thriller crept onto Netflix on November 28, 2024, and while the launch was low-key, the reaction since has been anything but.

With just eight episodes in a single season, it’s become the kind of show people are burning through in a single evening — and for good reason.

The show we're talking about is of course, The Madness.

Starring Colman Domingo (The Color Purple), Marsha Stephanie Blake (When They See Us), and Gabrielle Graham (The Expanse), the show follows CNN political commentator Muncie Daniels (Domingo) as he makes a chilling discovery: a dead body in the woods of Pennsylvania.

What unfolds is a dark, slow-burning descent into a world of conspiracy theories, media madness, and unrelenting political tension.

Despite being a slow build, fans say the payoff is well worth the ride. One viewer put it simply: “It’s definitely a slow burner but binge-worthy.”

And they’re not the only ones hooked. Social media has lit up with reactions from viewers who smashed through all eight episodes in one go. One fan dropped this in the LADbible Netflix Bangers group: “Just watched Madness 10/10 awesome no skip full feel… Highly recommended.”

Another chimed in with: “I was at the edge of my seat and binge-watched all of it.”

It’s being called “brilliant,” “binge-worthy,” and the kind of show that keeps you glued to the screen — and off your phone — for hours.

What really sets The Madness apart, though, is its timely mix of political intrigue and media manipulation, all driven by a performance from Domingo that’s already got viewers asking for more.

While The Madness is billed as a limited series, there’s already talk about a potential follow-up. In an interview with Deadline, Domingo himself hinted at being open to returning as Muncie Daniels, saying: “This show, I think there’s more from Muncie. I would really love to engage with a Season 2… So we’ll see if people think he’s got more story in him as well, so I hope people watch.”

So, while nothing’s confirmed yet, it’s clear the appetite is there.

Until then, if you’re looking for something gripping, easy to knock out in one sitting, and packed with edge-of-your-seat twists — The Madness is ready and waiting for you.
