YouTuber tried 'every way to lose weight' to find the best one

He tried seven different approaches across seven days

One YouTube has put different weight loss methods to the ultimate test.

While some people resort to weight loss injections to meet their body goals, others have turned to more extreme methods, like purchasing tapeworms from the dark web.

Meanwhile, one fitness guru decided to test multiple weight loss methods and compare the results.

YouTube fitness creator Will Tennyson runs a channel where he tries out budget and luxury gyms, consumes the world's most expensive diet, and experiments with the morning routines of successful CEOs.

After gaining weight following a bodybuilding competition, Tennyson decided to try 'every way' to lose weight and document the results in a recent video.

He recorded his starting weight at 197.5 lbs before beginning his week-long experiment.

First, Tennyson went with O.M.A.D, which basically stands for 'one meal a day.'

"My life is pretty much just a waiting game until the next meal," he said. "So this is gonna be a long wait."

While O.M.A.D may not be the ideal diet if you get irritable when you're hungry, Tennyson noted increased productivity and a 'sharper focus' for most of his day.

"When you're busy, you don't think about food," he admitted.

Overall, he rated this method 7.5 out of 10 after finding the diet 'sustainable' provided the single meal contains 'protein and whole foods' over junk food.

Next up was an electric fork that shocks you if you eat too quickly. According to the content creator, the method is based on scientific research showing that eating more slowly results in consuming less food, which leads to weight loss.

"So that's just reinforcing to take your time with your meal," the YouTuber added.

Giving it a 7 out of 10, Tennyson found the method useful, as it took about twice as long to finish his meal and he began feeling full earlier than usual.

The bodybuilder then tried a treadmill sauna, which allegedly 'burns 65% more calories than a regular treadmill' due to the infrared light and increased 'lymphatic drainage.'

He discovered that after just 20 minutes of jogging, he'd supposedly burned 635 calories. However, his Apple Watch registered only 179 calories, leading him to rate this method 4 out of 10.

For another weight-loss method, Tennyson figured giving hypnosis a try. During the session, hypnotherapist Luke Chao suggested that by viewing healthy foods like fruit as 'top-tier foods' and listening to your body, you begin craving natural foods rather than 'fake, factory-made or ultra-processed' options. In his case, Tennyson's weakness was doughnuts.

The sessions appeared to go successfully as the Canadian fitness influencer described 'feeling his desire [for doughnuts] slip away.' To test whether the hypnosis worked, Tennyson visited a doughnut shop, where he no longer experienced his typical cravings and instead saw only 'red flags.'

"Looking at it, I just see the grease. I see the artificialness to it," Tennyson claimed about the doughnut in front of him.

"I usually just used to look at it as like the apex food. Now it's just like, kinda garbage," adding that his rating for hypnosis was a 7 out of 10.

Later in the video, Tennyson also experimented with IV drip therapy, a mono diet and even laser therapy, which involves literally lasering fat off the body. However, none of which came close to his top-rated O.M.A.D diet.

After seven days of testing seven different weight-loss methods, Tennyson found some approaches more sustainable than others and lost 3 pounds overall.

Different methods work for different people, it's just a matter of seeing which sticks.
