A YouTuber made a shocking discovery while he was reviewing a $120 fake iPhone 17 Pro Max alongside the real thing.
This comes after the latest release was dropped from Apple which included four new models of iPhone, including the brand new iPhone Air.
The new range of iPhones are the first ones to use iOS 26’s Liquid Glass design and the screen has a larger display than previous models, with a 6.3 inch display.

Apple released a new range of iPhones last month after the tech giant’s live event on September 9 gave fans a first look.
And after knockoffs have begun to hit the internet, one man decided to see how it compares to the $1,200 real iPhone 17 Pro Max device.
Previously, Zack Nelson, better known online as @JerryRigEverything, admitted that for the last few years, he ‘kinda assumed Apple was coasting’, until they dropped the ‘thinnest iPhone they have ever made’, the iPhone Air.
Now, another YouTuber, known as Custom Adventurist has shared his thoughts on the new iPhone on YouTube, comparing it with a cheaper knockoff.

In the video description, it read: “I tried a $120 fake iPhone 17 Pro Max and the results shocked me! This fake iPhone 17 Pro Max actually worked better than expected. Watch as I test the fake iPhone 17 Pro Max in real life!”
To the YouTuber’s shock, he found that the hardware of the fake iPhone was nearly perfect, with just a few minor differences.
According to Custom Adventurist, the only noticeable difference between the two devices was the weight and its durability, with the fake one being ‘lighter’ and ‘flexible’.

Viewers took to the YouTube comment section to share their own reactions to the review, with one user writing: “The knockoff Iphone has a plastic back and I think that is better than a glass back that can crack and I like the fact that it has a sim tray.”
Another said: “The unboxing of the clone phone and its physical appearance is insignificant compared to what soc the devices uses. Typically, fakes use chipsets that are about 10 years old. So usually these clones are not usable for the average user. Only thing the clone phones are used for is to scam people into thinking that they are buying an expensive product for cheap.”
And a third person added: “Bro its still an amazing clone for just 120usd crazyy tho.”
