YouTuber Nikocado Avocado claims he's still obese whilst mocking fans for believing he actually lost weight

YouTuber Nikocado Avocado claims he's still obese whilst mocking fans for believing he actually lost weight

It comes after the Mukbang YouTuber shocked viewers by revealing his weight loss

Popular Mukbang YouTuber Nikocado Avocado has clapped back at his audience after claiming he was actually pranking them by saying he secretly lost 250 pounds over the last two years.

32-year-old Nikocado Avocado rose to fame by live streaming his mukbang videos, in which he ate large amounts of food.

He racked up more than four million followers on YouTube, and pretty much every single one of them was left stunned when, on September 7, the content creator posted a video claiming that he secretly lost 250 pounds over the last two years.

The videos sparked media attention, leading him to be featured on various food channels, including well-known media outlets. Avocado shared before-and-after images of his supposed weight loss on Instagram, further fuelling online attraction for this.

In the video, titled “Two Steps Ahead,” the YouTuber appeared significantly slimmer than how his audience is used to seeing him. In the video, Nikocado claimed that all his previous videos were pre-recorded as an aim to explain recent videos that saw him at a larger size.

Many of the comments were shocked yet convinced by this weight transition due to his appearing to have lost significant weight in the YouTube video. People in the comments were seemingly conviced, with one calling the apparent weight loss revelation as 'the biggest comeback ever'.

However, to the surprise of many of Nikocado Avocado’s followers, just over a week later, on September 18, the content creator posted a TikTok in which he appeared the same as he did in his pre 'weight loss' videos.

Addressing those who believed that he genuinely lost weight, Avocado said: "'Who in their right mind does a social experiment gaining 250 pounds for five years in a row?" he asked. "Y'all are so stupid."

This whole fiasco highlights the quick development of AI deep fake, which Nickado claimed to have used to create the Sept 7 YouTube video.

Responding to the TikTok comments on the video asking them to examine the video more closely to spot the signs of AI, he said: "Look closely at the background and the edges of my face."

Responding to the tell-all video, comments seemed confused as TikTok user said, 'ok i’m so lost. someone help me out here', while another said: “what if this video is pre reccorded [sic] again…”.

It’s obvious that there is uncertainty all around when it comes to this latest stunt on social media surrounding Nickocado’s recent videos. Whatever the truth is, this brings further attention to the evolution of technology through AI and the way it’s being used online in various, and sometimes, like in this case, mind boggling ways.
