The FBI has arrested a suspect on the back of what is being classed as an 'attempted assassination' of Donald Trump at his Florida golf club.

If you've been living under a rock, the incident comes almost exactly two months after a shooting at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The attempt left the Republican nominee with minor injuries and authorities killed a man in the crowd.

The former president was rushed to safety on September 15 and a man named Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested and charged with firearms offences.

Popular YouTuber JiDion now claims that he’s likely on the FBI’s radar after it was revealed that he’d unknowingly interviewed Routh in one of his previous videos.

Back in December 2023, JiDion uploaded a prank video at Harvard University.

During it, he came across a man who was protesting the war in Ukraine, and 'looking for revolutionaries' to 'take this whole system down.'

Turns out, the man was no other than now-58-year-old Ryan Routh.

Although at the time, the YouTuber said he 'didn't do paper' Routh admitted to looking for 'serious people' who were looking to fight for Kyiv.

Two days after the attempt, JiDion is talking about how wild the situation was, after people online discovered his interaction with Routh, with a reaction video to his initial encounter. The follow-up video has garnered 297k views after only being posted a day ago.

He mentioned that multiple news outlets are reaching out to him for comments on the back of the video.

What he's calling the 'craziest thing' is that he’s likely on the FBI’s radar now, pointing out that the investigative bureau will likely have to watch his video to learn about the suspect.

“The FBI is gonna be watching me,” the YouTuber laughed. “That’s the funniest thing about all of this. The FBI is gonna have to watch me to learn about this dude, so I am officially on the FBI’s radar.”

The YouTuber continued: “Not gonna lie — with some of the stuff I’ve done, especially the videos you haven’t seen, I’ve probably been on their radar.

“But still. It’s crazy.”

He also announced to his chat that the entire encounter was a 'coincidence' but that it was 'nothing of significance.'

He added: "Let's be real, this dude was literally just at Harvard recruiting people."
