Hackers hijack Elmo's X account to post deeply disturbing message to the public

Sesame Street's Elmo had its X account hacked earlier this week

Hackers have hijacked Elmo’s X account to post a deeply disturbing message to the public.

The puppet had its social media account hacked earlier this week before posting a series of bizarre and unsettling messages.

Users of X, formerly Twitter, were shocked when the beloved red children’s character posted a string of antisemitic and racist content, along with calling on President Donald Trump to ‘release the files’, seemingly referring to Jeffrey Epstein.

The hacker behind the account described the president a ‘child f*****’ and called for the killing of Jews, before going on to brand Trump as being ‘Netanyahu’s puppet’.

In a statement released from Sesame Workshop, which is the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street, a spokesperson said: “Elmo’s X account was compromised today by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts.

“We are working to restore full control of the account.”

The posts on the account have since been deleted.

Many people took to X to share their own reactions to the shocking posts, with one user writing: “Who’s unemployed a** decided to wake up and hack Elmo’s twitter account.”

Another said: “Elmo crashed out before gta 6 wasn’t on my card.”

And a third person added: “I never thought I’d live to see Elmo turn evil and be anti semitic.”

In other news, Elon Musk has taken to X once again to call out Trump over the Epstein files.

This comes after one user shared a post the president had made on Truth Social, describing it as being ‘in the running for worst post ever made’.

Trump had urged people not to ‘waste time and energy on Jeffrey Epstein’, claiming that he is ‘somebody that nobody cares about’.

However, the Tesla boss wasn’t as convinced as he wrote: “Seriously. He said ‘Epstein’ half a dozen times while telling everyone to stop talking about Epstein.

“Just release the files as promised.”

On Sunday (July 13), David Axelrod, who is the chief political analyst for CNN, argued that Trump could be the reason why the files haven’t been released.

On X, he wrote: “I’ve said this from the start: Anyone who thinks Pam Bondi decided on her own to do a 180 and inflame MAGA on the Epstein file release hasn’t been paying attention.

“There’s only one guy who could have ordered it–and had a motive to–but it’s sacrilege on the Right to say it!”
