Warning: This article contains discussion of hate speech which some readers may find distressing.

David Schwimmer has slammed Elon Musk in a lengthy post following Kanye West’s ‘ignorant’ rant online.

West, who is now going by Ye, took to Musk’s social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to share hateful statements.

These include tweets like ‘I’m a Nazi’ and ‘I don’t like or trust no Jewish person, and this is completely sober with no Hennessy’.

Yesterday (February 9), the rapper also wrote: “JEWS WERE BETTER AS SLAVES.

“YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR JEWS IN THEIR PLACE AND MAKE THEM INTO YOUR SLAVES.”

His account, which has since been deleted, was met with outrage by users, with some saying that Musk ‘allows’ the hate speech to continue instead of banning it.

Actor David Schwimmer took to Instagram to share his own thoughts on the issue.

In a post, he wrote: “This is so 2022. We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk.

“Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on your platform, X.

“That’s twice as many people than the number of Jews in existence.

“His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews.

“I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities including his own) or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point. Silence is complicity.”

West had also shared a photo of Musk before his account was deleted, which shows the Tesla boss throwing his right arm up at Trump’s inauguration event.

West captioned the image with, ‘Heil Elon’.

And it looks like the SpaceX CEO isn’t a fan of West’s tweets after he finally. spoke out, confirming that the rapper will be censored.

Musk wrote: “Given what he has posted, his account is now classified as NSFW. You should not be seeing that anymore.”

The account was given a sensitive content warning but it seems that West has now deleted the account himself.

After continuing to post during the Super Bowl, West wrote: “I’m logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent. It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board. It was like an Ayahuasca trip.

“Love all of you who gave me your energy and attention. To we connect again. Good afternoon and good night.”
