The daily routine for most people involves getting up in the morning, traveling to work, having dinner back home, and then relaxing a couple of hours before settling into bed at night.

It's something that billions of people experience almost every single day of the year, yet most dream of breaking from that rigid cycle and enjoying what life has to offer without the chains of responsibility.

You'd imagine that a robot, unburdened by the necessities of human life, would have a wildly different routine to ours, but a recent video from Chinese humanoid robotics manufacturer LimX Dynamics shows that's not exactly the case.

As reported by Digital Trends, the three minute long video posted on the company's YouTube channel shows off what their flagship factory-focused 'Oli' robot gets up to on an average day.

Starting bright and early at 07:20, Oli hits the gym with some weight and fitness training, showing that while it can't grow abs, it's still plenty strong! It then follows this exercise up with some Chinese Kung Fu in the park, sparring with a fellow human partner that might not realise their part in the future robot uprising until it's too late.

At 09:00 it's ready to clock in at the LimX Factory, where it helps out with moving and handling materials – with proper form for bending to lift heavy objects – alongside sorting incoming items into the right place.

You might be shocked to find out that it clocks out at just 16:30, and is branded as 'lazy' by it's fellow human co-workers for exiting the building earlier than them.

You would have thought that the seemingly limitless energy of robots in the workplace would have led to increased productivity, but Oli is showing that they can just as easily slack off if they want.

Finally, after work at 21:00 it takes a nice dance break to celebrate the activities of the day, although it's unclear what exactly the LimX robot gets up to in the hours before and after this short boogie, and perhaps it's better that we don't know.

"I hired a guy that worked that like once. He lasted almost a whole day," remarks one user underneath the video commenting on Oli's less-than-stellar work ethic.

Others have been left amazed at what Oli is capable of in the workplace and in leisure scenarios, with one commenter writing: "This looks incredible. The movement and posture seem to be as good as any robot out there."

Some have expressed their concerns regarding the viability of robots like this in the 9-5 workday when considering charging times and power limits – something that was also expressed by tech experts – but even if those issues appear now, who knows where the tech will be in just a few years time.
