A shocking simulation shows the true scale of Elon Musk’s enormous $241 billion net worth.

The mogul is currently the richest person in the world and a video shared online depicts a visual representation of just how wealthy the Tesla CEO is compared to the average person.

Uploading onto Reddit, people were stunned to find out what that net worth looks like in single dollar bills.

The user created the simulation and shared it on the social media platform, writing: “Visualizing the true scale of Elon Musk’s net worth as single dollar bills.

“I made this quick animation to show just how large this amount of money really is. The majority of the comments from YouTube said ‘but he’s doing so much for humanity’ and ‘he earned this money’. What do you think?”

The video depicts a computer-generated Musk standing next to a stack of cash adding up to $50,000.

The clip explains that this represents the amount of money that half of the US population makes in a year, with the stack standing at 0.46 ft tall.

For comparison, a million dollars stands at 4.65 ft.

The stack of money continues to rise, climbing taller than the Eiffel Tower and the Burj Khalifa.

When it finally reaches Musk’s net worth, which was $187 billion when the video was made, the stack stands at a staggering 9,935 ft tall.

Viewers were shocked to see how the money compares to average earnings in the simulation.

Taking to the comment section to share their own thoughts, one user wrote: “A million seconds is 12 days, a billion seconds is 30 years.”

Another said: “hE dOeSnT hAvE tHaT mUcH, iTs AlL iN sToCkS!!! Yeah, right, dude's basically cash broke, huh? I'm so sick of seeing this argument. He could get loans against his stocks anytime he wants. He could sell half his stock and still have more money than an entire city of people will see in their lifetimes accumulated.”

A third added: “And yet there still exist people who think one individual deserves to own so much. How can someone be so blind and believe nonsense like this????”

And fourth person made another comparison, saying: “Google says Elon Musk's net worth is 178.2 billion USD. The budget for the entirety of New York City, New York (USA) for 2023 is 104 billion USD. Elon Musk could pay for the entire NYC budget for 2023 and still have 78.2 billion USD remaining.”
