Instagram is one of the most popular social media apps for cheaters, and there are two relatively unknown settings that you can check that could help you expose any infidelity in your relationship.

Infidelity has only increased with the internet age, as the digital world makes it far easier for people to hide their interactions, conversations, and secret affairs from their partner.

While there are plenty of apps specifically designed for cheaters to hide their unfaithful behavior, a large amount of infidelity occurs - and starts - on social media apps.

With dating apps like Tinder being a bit too on the nose for those looking for something on the side, something like Instagram which forefronts images of people makes it the ideal environment if someone was to cheat in a relationship.

It can often be tricky to really tell whether your partner is being unfaithful outside of catching them in the act though, yet there are two 'little known' settings inside the Instagram app that might illuminate you to your partner's infidelity.

Checking your partner's profile activity

As reported by UNILAD, one of the biggest ways that you can spot any cheating from your partner is by seeing how they're interacting with certain accounts on the platform, as your suspicions might be confirmed if they've been liking and commenting on posts from one particular account.

The days of stalking people's activity on Instagram are thankfully long gone, but there's still a way that you can find out what other people have been up to on the social media platform.

You will need to be logged in to their account on the app, so that'll either require their permission or some sneaky moves on your behalf, but once you've gained access you'll want to head into the 'Activity' section of their profile's settings.

From here you'll be able to see all of the recent posts they've liked and commented on, and you can even filter by date if you want to get a bit more specific.

Of course, simply liking or commenting on another person's post isn't confirmation of any unfaithful behavior, but it can help inform some suspicions and build a case against your partner if you think that they've been cheating on you.

Checking hidden photo tags

Another method that also requires access to your partner's account involves checking their hidden tags, as you could potentially see photos of them that they otherwise have hidden from you.

On Instagram there's a feature where you have to approve account tags of yourself in other people's photos, which means that they won't show up in the 'tagged' section of your profile if you don't want them to.

Heading to the 'Review Tags' option on your partner's Instagram account settings could give you access to a whole library of images that they otherwise wouldn't want you to see - and that could include photos of them and the person they're cheating with, or ones posted by a suspicious account.
