President Donald Trump has vowed to release some very important files into the world.

The thing is, they don't appear to be the files that most of us have been calling for.

While the President of the United States has delivered sometimes contradictory statements on whether he believes in aliens, he's now vowed to release all those shadowy secrets that are supposedly being locked up in Area 51.

Following his return to the White House, Donald Trump has previously promised to release files relating to the assassinations of JFK, Martin Luther King Jr., and Robert Kennedy.

Not content with revealing the 'truth' to the world on these, he's apparently going to let us inside Area 51 by releasing everything he's been privy to on aliens.

There are various theories why we haven't found definitive proof of alien life yet, although conspiracy theorists are convinced it's all a government cover-up.

This latest buzz around little green dudes coming down from space came after former President Barack Obama seemed to confirm the existence of aliens when he told podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen: "They're real but I haven't seen them. They're not being kept in Area 51. There's no underground facility unless there's this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States."

While aboard Air Force One, Trump told reporters, "He's not supposed to be doing that…He made a big mistake."

When grilled on whether the POTUS believes in aliens, he continued: "Well, I don't know if they're real or not...I may get him out of trouble by declassifying it.”

The idea that President Trump could do Obama a 'favor' by declassifying supposed alien documents has even caught the attention of NASA, with the agency

Posting on X, NASA Press Secretary Bethany Stevens wrote: "As an agency. We have fostered open science since our inception so that the public can build upon our innovations. We continue to make all NASA data publicly available, and welcome public participation using our data."

She then referred to NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, saying there are certain things in the job that he can't explain, but added: "They relate more to unnecessarily costly programs than they do to extraterrestrial life!"

Doubling down on his latest promise, Trump took to Truth Social to write explain how he's instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other agencies "to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters."

In this truly bizarre turn of events, Hegset reposted Trump's Truth Social and added, "👽🫡," while South Carolina's Rep Nancy Mace wrote: "Tonight, President Trump is directing full disclosure of UAP and UFO files. In October, I wrote to DoD, CIA, NSA, and DNI demanding exactly that. The truth belongs to the American people."

Notably, the response to Hegseth and Mace's posts was mainly filled with accusations that the Republican Party is trying to distract from the continued release of the Epstein files. President Trump himself has been vocal about the release of the Epstein files, previously defending his relationship with the late financier and convicted criminal.

As for the topic of aliens in 2026, Trump concluded that while he gets asked a lot, he "doesn't have an opinion on it."
