Man claims to experience bizarre 'Ozempic penis' as study reveals penis size is growing substantially

It's not the size of the boat but the motion in the ocean

Although it tends to be that most of the headlines surrounding Ozempic, Wegovy, and the other weight-loss 'skinny jabs' are focused on the negatives, one man claims to have experienced an unexpected side effect...in his pants.

The use of semaglutide injections has gone through the roof, with the likes of Elon Musk, Amy Schumer, and Oprah Winfrey being among the big names who've admitted to taking these medications.

Even the World Health Organization looks like it's destined to pull a U-turn on recommending them. While there's no denying the effectiveness of these drugs, there are still some major concerns. With side effects ranging from unwanted 'Ozempic breath' to increased chances of osteoporosis, there are also worries about a potential mental health pandemic.

There could soon be a run of men dashing to get Ozempic, as one male patient claims he's noticed a bit of wowzers in his trousers. Taking to the r/Ozempic subreddit, u/coffeebeardtv says that he measured his penis before and after taking Ozempic, noting that he's grown about an inch. He was quick to downplay the idea that it's due to fat loss making his member appear bigger, claiming that it's bigger than it was a few years ago, when he was even skinnier.

Others in the thread were quick to chime in with their own thoughts, as one person said: "Better blood flow to the area as well as fat loss."

Another added: "It’s the weight loss around the pubic area. It just looks bigger (which doesn’t suck) and probably works better."

A third congratulated him as they concluded: "Y’all losing FADA (fat above dick area). Congrats!"

But could there be more to this? Are skinny jabs really giving us bigger Johnsons?

As reported by Diabetes.co.uk, the average British penis size has increased by 0.46 inches between 2022 and 2024. This 'growth' from 5.17 inches to 5.63 could be attributed to Ozempic and similar drugs, although it sounds like a bit of a stretch. Dr Richard Viney, a consultant urological surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, explained: “Men’s penises shorten as they get older (due to) increasing body fat and increasing prostate size drawing the penis back into the body.

“It is theoretically possible new drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, which are used to treat diabetes and obesity respectively and can cause people to lose weight, could also be a factor. As men lose weight, their penises appear larger.”

Then again, pharmacist Navin Khosla reminds us that you shouldn't be too bothered about what's going on downstairs in that sense: "While the data is interesting, penis size doesn’t matter in a medical sense.

“Just like how some people prefer different fashion styles, eye colours, or characteristics in a partner, some people are more attracted to larger penises or breasts, while others prefer smaller ones.”

In terms of those who are packing, Venezuelans apparently saw the biggest penis growth over that time and an impressive increase of 1.42 inches to 6.67 inches. Maybe there's been a sudden rush on semaglutides over there.

Either way, with some referring to this supposed phenomenon as OzemDick, could this be the latest unexpected side effect of the jabs?
