White House officials speak out on if Donald Trump's received an invitation to Jeff Bezos' $50,000,000 wedding

The lavish wedding is set to have a star-studded guest list

White House officials have spoken out on whether President Donald Trump has received an invitation to Jeff Bezos’ $50 million wedding.

The billionaire Amazon boss is due to tie the knot to his fiancée Lauren Sanchez tomorrow (June 28) in Venice, Italy.

The star-studded guest list includes the likes of Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey and Orlando Bloom.

Members of the Trump family are also expected to be in attendance including the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, alongside her husband, Jared Kushner.

Trump’s eldest son, Donald Jr, is also said to be going to the lavish event.

However, until recently it was not known whether the president himself had received an invitation for the big day.

According to a report by the Telegraph, White House officials have confirmed that Trump did receive an invite to the wedding, although the president is not expected to attend the ceremony due to scheduling conflicts.

There has been a lot of speculation about what Bezos’ wedding will look like and a portion of the invite, which was obtained by ABC News, has caused quite a stir on social media.

Accompanied by illustrations of feathers, shooting stars, birds, and butterflies, the note reads: “We are excited for you to join us! We have one early request: Please, no gifts.

“Instead, we’re making contributions in your honor and with gratitude to you for making the journey to celebrate with us in Venice.

“Donations on your behalf are being made to the UNESCO Venice Office to safeguard the city’s irreplaceable cultural heritage, to CORILA to restore the lagoon habitats that protect Venice’s future, and to Venice International University to support research and education for sustainable solutions.

“This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories. Our hope is that through these efforts and by you joining us, Venice will continue to inspire wonder for generations to come.”

Many people have shared their own reactions to the leaked invite with one user writing on X, formerly Twitter: “Not Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding invite looking like an illustration from a YA romance novel lmao. Childish.”

Another said: “Wow, that's the worst invitation design I've ever seen.'

A third person commented: "No way this is real. I could have chosen better clip art."

And a fourth added: "When you are the richest man on earth but made wedding card via Microsoft Word and Pinterest."

While Bezos’ current bank balance stands at a whopping $228.3 billion (at the time of writing) and makes him the fourth-richest person in the world, some clearly think he’s skimped on the invite design budget.
