US Donald Trump has made a major new foreign policy announcement, offering a significant, multi-million dollar bounty for anyone that provides information regarding a major world leader.
Putting America first in one way or another appears to be a key priority for Trump's second term in the White House, as he has implemented controversial tariff plans that emphasize American-made products, and laid out the groundwork for a potentially world-leading missile defense system.
Now Trump is taking aim at a major rival nation in a fight against drug smuggling, following efforts from border control agents to snuff out secret tunnels used to transport contraband across the southern border.
Following an announcement from Attorney General Pam Bondi, the Trump administration has now revealed a $50,000,000 reward for information regarding a rival world leader.

Who is the target of Trump's $50 million bounty?
As reported by UNILAD, the man who the Trump administration is willing to spend so much money to find is Nicolás Maduro, who has been president of Venezuela since 2013.

Bondi echoed the sentiment that the government believes Maduro to be one of the 'largest' drug traffickers across the world, accusing him of conspiring in a drug trafficking network that brings fentanyl-laced cocaine and gang violence to the streets of America.
"Maduro uses foreign terrorist organizations like [Tren de Aragua], Sinaloa, and Carel of the Suns to bring deadly drugs and violence into our country," Bondi proclaimed in an address regarding the bounty on August 7.
"Today the DEA has seized 30 tons of cocaine linked to Maduro and his associates with nearly seven tons linked to Maduro himself which represents a primary source of income for deadly cartels based in Venezuela and Mexico," Bondi continued.
Despite claiming that the Department of Justice has seized 'over $700,000,000' worth of Maduro-linked assets, Bondi asserted that his "reign of terror continues," branding the Venezuelan president as "a threat to our national security."

This isn't the first time that the US government has offered out a significant reward for information relating to Maduro's movements, as $15,000,000 was offered during Trump's first term as president, which Joe Biden then raised to $25,000,000.

Bondi has urged anyone with information to either call the specific hotline (1-202 307-4228) or go online to hand over everything they know, and the doubling of the reward certainly makes the prospect that much sweeter for anyone who knows anything about Maduro.
Some users in the replies to Bondi's address on X have claimed that the call shouldn't simply be a monetary reward but should instead "be dead or alive," taking things to the extreme, whereas others have jokingly requested the $50 million for providing the address to Venezuela's White House equivalent, The Palacio de Minaflores.
