New report reveals unexpected time most people watch porn

There's a reason that Pornhub sits as the 20th most-viewed website on the World Wide Web as of October 2025.
These astronomical numbers have taken a hit in 2025, especially as Pornhub is currently banned in 22 US states and other countries have insisted on their own age verification requirements.

This comes as the United Kingdom has started an attempted ban on suffocation and strangulation porn, with Conservative peer Baroness Gabrielle Bertin also calling for other types of sex acts to be banned.
There's more debate than ever about how we consume adult materials and what's deemed as acceptable. LADbible's 'For F**k's Sake' campaign reports that 77% of the Gen Z population admits to watching pornography, with 19% saying they watch it daily. Elsewhere, 50% of those asked say that pornography was their introduction to sex, while 41% of men claim they've struggled to reduce how much porn they watch.
As we get ready for the typical Pornhub year in review, ethical porn site Ersties has delivered its own report on how we're getting our rocks off. Alongside the top three search terms for 2025 apparently being 'an*l', 'squ*rt', and 'threesome', it appears you're saving yourselves for a specific time of day before loading up your favorite X-rated site.
When are people most likely to watch pornography?
According to Ersties' 2025 Ethical Porn Trends Report, there's a specific time of the day and week that we're most likely to have some 'alone time' (or with a partner). The ethical porn site says that while there's a relatively balanced weekly distribution, Sundays and Mondays see the highest average view counts.
It suggests that we're starting and ending our weeks with a bang, while the most popular global viewing time is between 9 pm and midnight. Ersties suggests this aligns with "post-work relaxation and late-evening wind-down routines."
Explaining the report, Ersties says it's "positioned as an alternative to widely referenced reports such as Pornhub’s, it highlights how viewer behaviours shift when ethics and intimacy lead the experience."
Elsewhere, Ersties revealed what you've been searching for in 2025, with the following terms being especially popular among its users:

- Armpit licking
- Sweaty armpits
- Tights and stockings
At a time when the conversation around pornography and the sex industry is more divided than ever, the likes of Ersties are trying to promote a different kind of message. Still, as everywhere from France to Italy continues to tighten the leash on X-rated materials, the landscape is being forced to evolve.
