While some of you love the thrill of the chase, most agree that being out there in the wilds of the dating scene isn't much fun after a while. After endless streams of chatting, "Hey, you up?", and disastrous first dates, it's nice to either go it alone or settle down with that special someone.
The dating world has evolved alongside social media, with dating apps like Tinder now being the norm for many. Others like Hinge, Bumble, and Badoo all offer similar services with their own twist, but when it comes to global appeal, Tinder reigns supreme. We've already covered the man who swiped some two million times before landing a date, while the popular app has also faced backlash for adding a new height preference feature, while being called out for discrimination.

Now, one woman has braved the dating minefield and gone on 'heterosexual' Tinder to reveal what straight men are really up to on there. Be warned, the cringe factor is about to go through the roof.

Seemingly not taking tips from the 'most successful man on Tinder', the woman was inundated with some pretty rocky matches.
Explaining her experience on TikTok, Angelica revealed how she's a lesbian who went 'undercover' as a heterosexual woman to see what it's like on the other side. For several weeks, she logged into the dating service and purposefully asked men what their most controversial opinion was – referring to it as a "hellscape experiment."
Revealing results from the first 1,000 men she spoke to, Angelica unveils a pie chart. 14.6% of men asked had no idea how to answer the question, and after also removing the ones who didn't answer or said 'I don't know', she removed these categories to be left with a sample size of 717.
Unsurprisingly, two of the biggest categories fall into right-wing or left-wing opinions (making up 12% and 14% of those asked). Leaping ahead of these, the idea of pineapple going on pizza is the most controversial opinion and comes away with 15% of the answers.

Elsewhere, 13% of them answered with "something overtly horrifying or sexual," 3% had a conspiracy theory about the Moon, and 2% had a flat Earth opinion. Racism and homophobia got 3% and 4% each, whereas only 4% of answers were actually deemed insightful.

The results make for fascinating reading, like 61% of the men answering without giving a follow-up question or asking Angelica for her own controversial opinion.
She thanks those who've supported her through the experiment, as well as those who haven't, saying it's helped give her the hilarious results she wanted.
Angelica concluded: "Questions like these are not giving men a harder time if the men you're asking the questions to are actually good people.
"There are good men out there who care about women, want to treat women right, and those are the men who need to be given chances.
