There are some weird and wonderful university courses out there, and whether it be taking a degree in Game of Thrones, Zombies in Popular Media, or Klingon (all of these actually exist), the world is evolving away from the traditional like English Literature or Accounting.
More tech-savvy universities are offering everything from Ethical Hacking to Game Design, Astrobiology to Human-Centered Technology Design to ensure they have a young crop of eager talent coming through the door. Still, as we're warned that AI could come for our jobs, we're told to adapt to ensure we're ahead of the curve when it comes to tech-based careers.
There's been a recent boom in streamers, and while MrBeast is still far and away the subscribed channel on YouTube, the pandemic saw a rise in streamers on platforms like Twitch.

We didn't have much else to do while locked up in our homes, meaning we were drawn to the internet to check out other people playing games or keeping us entertained with their own content.

One of the biggest names is Kai Cenat, and hoping to give something back, he's starting his own Streamer University to train others in his craft. Better yet, it's completely free.
Cenat is something of a controversial figure, with bizarre incidents of him kicking his own personal robot and calls for him to be banned from Twitch when he was seemingly involved in a disturbing prank.

Posting on Instagram, Cenat said he was inspired by Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from the Harry Potter franchise, telling his followers, "Welcome To Streamer University."
In a post captioned, "Enroll Now," the streamer explained: "I’m excited to extend to you a most heartfelt welcome to the very first class of Streamer University. Here, you will find a school where chaos is encouraged and content is king."
For those who don't want to commit to a three-year degree, Cenat confirmed Streamer University consists of a single weekend on a college campus, encouraging content creators and newbie students alike to collaborate.

If this sounds like your bag, the good news is that Streamer University is free. With this, Cenat has been inundated with applicants. You can apply via the official website, although be warned that only 150 lucky creators will be accepted to the inaugural class.
The site states: "Your academic story will be on display in front of not only your audience, but many other audiences as well. At StreamerU, all students and professors are creators. There will be cameras everywhere, streaming to a variety of audiences of many different."
Cenat previously teased he'd be establishing Streamer University, telling viewers on an earlier Twitch stream: "I’m going to rent out a university over a course of a weekend. It will be streaming university. Okay? I’m going to rent it out."
Courses include Film and Acting, Business Management, and Sex Education (we daren't ask), with Cenat also looking for professors to lead the classes. If you fancy yourself as the next Harry Potter or possibly the next Severus Snape of the content world, why not apply for StreamerU and wait for an owl to fly by with your acceptance letter?
