MrBeast’s new book is celebrating its release day today (September 1) and in classic Beast fashion the content creator has announced a prize draw people can enter for a chance to win $1 million.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is well known for his extreme challenges with huge cash sums.
His antics have led to him hosting his own Amazon show, Beast Games, and has earned him the title of most subscribed-to YouTube channel ever, boasting a whopping 515 million followers on the platform.
Now, the YouTuber is looking to add 'author' to his resume, with a new book project made with bestselling author James Patterson.

Titled The Most Dangerous Games, the book follows the story of a thousand strangers who all receive an invitation to a competition run by MrBeast - yes, the man himself features in the novel - with just 100 making the cut.

In the book’s description, it states: “The Games begin in Antarctica, where one wrong step on the ice kills you, and they never let up: Shark water off a remote Chilean island, desert heat that cooks you where you stand, storm-battered peaks, and caves so black you cannot find your own hand. No rescue. No second chances. A billion dollars to whoever is still standing.
“Then the terrain stops being the thing that can kill you, and the other players start. Alliances turn into ambushes. Trust becomes the sharpest weapon. And somewhere above it all, a hidden voice is watching every move, testing, deciding who deserves to survive.”
MrBeast announces competition to celebrate his book release
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, to share news about his new release, Donaldson also revealed that he is running his own real life competition where someone could win $1 million.
He wrote: “I’m giving away $1,000,000 to one person, and your ticket to win is my new book. The Most Dangerous Games, with James Patterson, is out now. Grab a copy wherever books are sold, then enter the contest at themostdangerousgames.com. If you’ve ever enjoyed one of my videos, you’re going to love this one.”
This prompted replies from others on social media who shared their own reactions to the news.
One person said: “So this book will be number 1 seller... not because it's good, because everyone is trying to find the ticket.”
Another wrote: “Bro really said read my book and I might change your life.”
And a third added: “I'm sure people still love giveaways, but after a lifetime of them and never winning... they kinda also suck for most people.”
