Elon Musk has been rumours to be sleeping in his DOGE offices, and has now even received 'sleep pods' to help with relentless work weeks.

While we've heard of sleeping on the job, Elon Musk could be taking it to new extremes. It looks like the world's richest man has barely stopped since he took up his new position as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, but with (questionable) plans to slash $2 trillion from government spending, it's clear that time waits for no man.

Even though Musk isn't being paid a single dollar to lead the DOGE, it's a role he's clearly taking seriously. Having already put USAid and the National Space Council in his crosshairs, his legion of cost-cutters are proving that no department is safe.

With Musk and his minions beavering away, the tech billionaire has seemingly installed new sleep options to help with worker fatigue. Musk recently claimed that staff were working 120-hour weeks at the DOGE offices, while WIRED reports that he's currently sleeping there.

Although Musk doesn't get his own office in the White House, the DOGE is reportedly based out of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building that’s just a stone's throw from President Trump.

Musk claims he's been invited for an intimate sleepover at the White House and potentially been offered a stay in the Lincoln Bedroom, but for now, he could be sticking to an Eight Sleep pod.

Posting on X, Eight Sleep CEO Matteo Franceschetti said that a consignment of its Pod mattresses had been delivered to the DOGE.

Founded in 2014, Eight Sleep is a company focused on 'sleep fitness' and famous for its mattress that provides temperature control.

Among its supporters are the likes of biohacker Bryan Johnson, F1 star Lewis Hamilton, and Mark Zuckerberg saying he ‘dialed in’ his sleep thanks to Eight Sleep.

Starting at $2,295 for the base model Pod 3, the most expensive version is the $4,599 Pod 4 Ultra which includes the likes of custom elevation and snoring mitigation.

Cheering DOGE's new arrival, X CEO Linda Yaccarino said, "This is epic," so we guess she wants one of her own unless she's already got one.

MISSION COMPLETED.

The @eightsleep Pods have been delivered to @DOGE.

I hope this will super charge @elonmusk and the incredible team to shape the future of America. Let’s go 🚀 https://t.co/pa9ejHtvIR pic.twitter.com/jxXXLr5KXt

Someone else added: "Thank you Matteo and 8sleep. What an amazing gesture of kindness and a very vital element to Making America Great Again... Phenomenal Sleep! Our DOGE Warriors will now have good rest! 🙌🏻."

Another concluded: "Make Sleep Great Again 👍🏼."

While the 'DOGE Warriors' might be happy, not everyone is impressed by Eight Sleep's support of Musk. Someone has hijacked Eight Sleep's Wikipedia page and written: "In February 2025, the company CEO and the company made public statements on X delivering bedding material to the Musk DOGE team during its attempted coup in the US.

"This allowed the DOGE team to continue stealing government data without having to leave the occupied government buildings while protesters were at the door. This was presumably also done outside normal government procurement rules."

Although Eight Sleep continues to evolve, Business Insider says it faced allegations that the hydropowered temperature control could be prone to leaks. Let's hope Musk doesn't wake up on a wet patch.
