Like something from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Department of Justice has released 'Phase 1' of the previously locked Epstein Files and promised to reveal the celebrity connections of the deceased financier. After being arrested on federal charges for the sex trafficking of minors in 2019, Epstein was found hanged in his cell just over a month later.

The release of the Epstein Files isn't to implicate anyone in any wrongdoing, but instead, is a 'contact list' of those in Epstein's little black book and those who flew to his compound in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Included in this is President Donald Trump, who was previously recorded as taking at least three flights with 'JE' (Jeffrey Epstein) in 1993 and 1994. Others mentioned include Michael Jackson, Robert F Kennedy Jr., and Hillary and Bill Clinton.

In the Phase 1 release, there's a heavily redacted copy of an address book and flight logs that were already available due to multiple court cases and media accounts. The DoJ has added a blacked-out list of masseuses and an evidence list that includes nude images and sex toys. Elon Musk was accused of reaching out to Epstein for advice about Tesla, but now, the world's richest man has spoken out in defense of Bondi after she said the new pages would 'make you sick'.

Musk posted on X and said that Bondi is likely under pressure from within the DoJ and that we shouldn't assume her position of power grants her much control.

Sharing a post that says Bondi "is fighting a leftist culture within the DoJ and FBI" and that her critics should 'give her a chance', Musk added: "People don’t understand that you don’t get instant power here."

In another post, he compared Bondi's situation to being on a ship with an uncooperative crew and said it would be 'literally impossible' to steer it: "Imagine if you were suddenly appointed AG or head of the FBI.

“You were just thrown on a ship with a hostile crew. Until you appoint some new crew members and figure out the ropes, you can’t steer the ship effectively. It’s literally impossible."

The Attorney General accused the FBI office in New York of holding back 200 pages, and in response, wrote to FBI Director Kash Patel saying that she wanted "the full and complete Epstein files" to be handed over by February 28.

As highlighted by The Independent, there's been plenty of MAGA backlash following the 'disappointing' release of the Epstein Files. Among them is Representative Anna Paulina Luna, who raged: "THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR and a complete disappointment.

"GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!”

She was joined by former One America News Network host Liz Wheeler, who added: "We’re talking recordings, evidence, etc. The juicy stuff. Names. These swamp creatures at SDNY deceived Bondi, Kash, and YOU. Be outraged that the binder is boring. You should be. Because the evil deep state LIED TO YOUR FACE."

With the backlash ongoing, it remains to be seen whether the public will be happier with the inevitable 'Phase 2' of the Epstein Files.
