With the new year now upon, here is where all the richest people in the world will be celebrating.

Tonight (December 31), the world will be ringing in the new year, with some tech moguls doing it without a lot more flash and style than others.

This includes the likes of US billionaires Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg who may be set to take their luxury yachts out for a spin.

The Amazon boss was seen with his new wife Lauren Sánchez in Aspen, Colorado, over Christmas but it’s unlikely that’s where the pair will stay for New Years Eve.

This is because the billionaire’s yacht was spotted just off the coast of St Barts, meaning the couple could be set to ring in the new year in the Caribbean.

The pair tied the knot earlier this year in Venice, Italy, with the star-studded affair allegedly costing up to $20 million.

Attendees were reportedly in the Cipriani and Aman hotels, with the guest list rumored to include Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Orlando Bloom, Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner.

As for Zuckerberg, his own megayacht was seen in the Gulf of California after it recently left Mexico.

But these aren’t the only tycoons living it up on their ships as Rupert Murdoch’s $50 million yacht was recently seen in Barbados.

It seems like CEO of Disney Bob Iger will also be joining the other elites in the Caribbean after his own ship was spotted in nearby waters.

Iger’s yacht measures 213 feet long and was last spotted close to Anguilla, not far from other billionaire boats in St Barts.

And he isn’t the only one because Jan Koum, who is the founder of WhatsApp, is reportedly also in the area after his $220 million yacht has been positioned in St Barts since early December.

Billionaire heiress of biotechnology company Serono, Dona Bertarelli, reportedly has her $80 million yacht positioned not far from Antigua.

Meanwhile, founder of Google, Eric Schmidt, has his yacht docked in - you guessed it - St Barts.

The boat is estimated to be worth a staggering $200 million and measures at 321 feet long.

And billionaire investor Joe Lewis has two of his yachts located in the Caribbean ready for the new year.

One was last seen just off the coast of Nassau, Bahamas, and the other one was near Barbados.

And here I thought splashing out on a nice bottle of bubbly for the occasion was fancy!
