A website is claiming to have ‘exposed’ JD Vance’s Spotify listening history and it’s not what you’d expect.
The site titled ‘Panama Playlists’ is making some bold claims about the US vice president’s music tastes.
The website went live yesterday (July 30) according to a report by the New York Post which detailed how an anonymous person claims to have been ‘scraping’ through the accounts of notable figures since this time last year.
According to the site, the sleuths had a team of people gaining access to ‘playlists, live listening feed, everything. I know what songs they played, when, and how many times’.

The site added: “Heard of the Panama Papers? That exposed offshore bank accounts. This is about onshore vibes.”

So, what exactly was uncovered about Vance’s Spotify playlists?
Well, it turns out that he is allegedly quite a big pop fan.

According to the site, the vice president is listening to tunes such as ‘I Want It That Way’ by the Backstreet Boys and ‘One Time’ by Justin Bieber.
This can apparently be found on his playlist titled Making Dinner.
Meanwhile, on another playlist, Vance is apparently blasting One Direction’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful’.
Vance wasn’t the only notable figure in politics to have his music tastes exposed as White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also features on the site.

She allegedly has a playlist named Baby Shower which includes tracks like ‘Run The World (Girls)’ by Beyonce and ‘Respect’ by Aretha Franklin.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi apparently likes to listen to 2000s hits such as ‘I Gotta Feeling’ by the Black Eyed Peas and ‘Hot In Herre’ by Nelly.
Speaking to the New York Post, the anonymous person behind the site said: “I gained confidence in each person by looking at lots of signals.

“An example is Pam Bondi. Her longtime partner is John Wakefield, and her profile has an old playlist called ‘john’ and an old shared playlist with a user named ‘John Wakefield,’ so that gives me a lot of confidence it is her account.”
The internet sleuth went on to say that Leavitt had a baby ‘a month after the playlist was made’ titled Baby Shower.
The information was all collected from publicly available accounts although Spotify has spoken out to say that this violates the company’s Terms of Use.
The political figures involved are yet to comment or confirm as to whether these claims about their music tastes are accurate.
