A ‘miracle’ has been declared after churchgoers were left stunned by seeing a ‘holy face’ appear during a local mass.
The shocking discovery took place during a festive mass in Las Vegas, Nevada, where the congregation celebrated Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12.
Father Edmund Nnadozie from St Thomas More was preaching to worshippers when they noticed a face appear in fabric that was placed near the altar.
Many couldn’t believe their eyes with some witnesses describing the event as a ‘miracle’.

Speaking to Fox5 Vegas, churchgoer Ben Yzaguirre said: “I believe it’s a miracle, a sign from heaven. It’s beautiful to see, and I’m glad I was able to be a part of that.”
Others took to social media to share their own reactions to the clip, with one user writing on X, formerly Twitter: “I was there at this Mass. Miracles happen.”
Another said: “Christ is king.”
Although, others were as convinced, with one person commenting: “I still think the picture could be clearer; otherwise, what is one to think? Surely, God could do better as to clarity, unless there is something I don't know.”
Nnadozie has since spoken out, telling Fox5 Vegas that he doesn’t believe this is a coincidence.
He explained: “I looked at it, I’m like, ‘oh, wait a minute’, I looked at it again, and that was the face of, you know, it’s Our Lady.
“I think maybe Our Lady was sending a message to us, ‘hey, I’m still around, I know today is a celebration of my day, and I can still show myself.
“God chooses when a miracle happens, and a miracle can happen in Las Vegas.”
This isn’t the first time a church has reported strange occurrences as, back in 2018, a church in Mexico claimed that its Virgin Mary statue was ‘weeping’.

This came after it was found to be leaking olive oil through the eyes of the statue.
Speaking to Las Cruces Sun News, Bishop Oscar Cantú said: “Some of the witnesses claimed it smelled of roses, so something similar to the oil I bless and consecrate each year that we use for baptism, for confirmations, and for ordination of the priests.”
He continued: “We examined the interior of the hollow statue. There’s nothing on the interior that’s not supposed to be there, except for cobwebs. So we took pictures; we examined it.”
However, there was nothing found to explain the cause.
