All of the ultra-wealthy donors for Trump's new $300 million ballroom on White House grounds have been revealed, and people have spotted that one former Marvel CEO is high on the list.

US President Donald Trump has made it a priority to cosy up with the country's wealthiest individuals across the course of his second term so far, especially as his efforts involving cryptocurrency have significantly increase his own personal net worth.

While he isn't quite as close with the world's richest man as he was at the start of the year, his seemingly rekindled relationship with Elon Musk is complimented by close ties to Larry Ellison, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and almost every name at the top of the Forbes rich list.

As a result, it seemingly wasn't too difficult to find enough people to willingly donate $300 million of their own fortunes to Trump's new 90,000 square-feet ballroom at the White House – tearing apart the historic East Wing as a consequence – and there are some intriguing individuals on that 37-name-long list.

Mega tech corporations like Apple, Microsoft, and Meta were present, alongside some of the Republican Party's biggest existing donors, and even the world's first ever Bitcoin billionaires.

However, one name in particular has drawn the attention of the film world, as former Marvel CEO Isaac Perlmutter, alongside his wife Laura, are present in the private and family donations section, as per CNN.

While Perlmutter has been involved with a number of successful companies over his lengthy career, it is his time at the helm of Marvel Comics that he's particularly remembered for, as he led the company's revival after bankruptcy into the behemoth it is today.

He became Marvel's chief executive officer in January 2005, and he played a key role in the company's decision to produce its own films independently, leading to the start of the 'First Phase' in 2008 with Iron Man.

The overwhelming success of Marvel's cinematic output in Hollywood after this eventually led to a buyout from Disney worth $4 billion, in which Perlmutter remained CEO and received $800 million in cash and $590 million worth of Disney stock.

He was subsequently laid off in 2023 after restructuring at Disney, but has managed to earn himself a net worth of $5.2 billion according to Forbes, making him the 787th richest person in the world.

This ballroom donation isn't the first foray into politics for Isaac and Laura, however, as they have been donating hefty sums to Republican party figures since at least 2015, including Donald Trump himself.

Isaac Perlmutter also became an informal advisor for Donald Trump during his first term, and directed policy at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs alongside two other Mar-a-Lago club members.

It's unclear quite how much the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Foundation gave over to the ballroom construction project as individual donation figures are unknown, yet it will have likely been a considerable sum that only adds to the over $3 million given to Trump's campaigns since 2016.
