Bob Geldof brutally calls out Elon Musk on stage as he brands him 'ketamine crazed fool'

Geldof was enraged by Musk's comments on Western civilization

Activist Sir Bob Geldof has some choice words for Elon Musk at a recent performance of Just For One Day, as he slammed the billionaire as a 'ketamine crazed fool' in a brutal takedown of his recent political comments.

This is far from the first time that Elon Musk has been the subject of ridicule in the past six months alone, as big names like Bill Gates, Stephen King, and SNL have all rallied against the richest man in the world.

Much of the vitriol thrown at Musk is related to his recent ascent in American politics as a consequence of his (once) close relationship with US President Donald Trump.

He was made the head of a new private advisory board named the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and tasked with reducing the federal spending by $2,000,000,000,000 in initial estimates.

DOGE's widespread defunding of key federal departments, which include significant job losses and spending cuts, has drawn the ire of many - especially those within the scientific community.

It is Musk's comments during his most recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience that Geldof took particular issue with though, as he tore into the tech mogul's assertion of current global politics, as reported by the Standard.

"A couple of weeks ago, that prime w**ker Elon Musk said the great weakness of Western civilisation is empathy," Geldof remarked while on stage following the musical inspired by his 1985 Live Aid concerts.

"The great weakness? You ketamine crazed fool. You sociopathic loser. Empathy is the glue of civilization. Empath is the glue of humanity. It's how we do things together, how we sit here together and clap because we actually understand that this is the stuff that works."

Geldof's 'ketamine' comment is a particularly hot topic at the moment as Musk has received significant pressure regarding his alleged drug use while in the White House to the point where President Trump has weighed in, even if the man himself has denied it.

Regarding what Musk actually said back in early March, he outlined, as per CNN, that there is an 'empathy exploit' in Western society that it's 'fundamental weakness', adding that "they're exploiting a bug in Western civilzation, which is the empathy response."

Musk claimed that while he believes that "you should care about other people," this notion of empathy has been "weaponized."

It's then understandable why Geldof, who has spent large parts of the last four decades organizing charitable and fundraising efforts, would find issue with these words from Musk, and he continued to pile on further criticism of the Tesla CEO and President Trump:

"The strongest nation in the world, the most powerful man on Earth and the richest person ever in the history of the planet decided to declare war on the poorest, the weakest, the most vulnerable people on the planet. I despise them."

This echoes comments made recently by Bill Gates, who accused Musk of 'killing' children with his policies at DOGE, making particular reference to the disparity between the richest person targeting the poorest across the world.
