Donald Trump finally speaks out on claim that Elon Musk took drugs while in White House

The POTUS and his First Buddy have spectacularly fallen out

To quote Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, "The girls are fighting, aren’t they?" Grab your popcorn because the tea is piping hot between Elon Musk and Donald Trump. The world's richest man and the Commander-in-Chief have been going at it online, all over the latter's One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Elon Musk had already announced he was going to be stepping back from politics, but while doing so, he made a parting shot where he branded the bill a 'disgusting abomination'. Donald Trump then accused his former First Buddy of having 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'. This was just the start of the fracas, with Musk threatening to pull his SpaceX Dragon rocket from service, calling for Trump to be impeached, and even making wild claims that the POTUS is named in the Epstein Files.

Just when you thought the drama had died down, Trump is here to finally address claims that Musk took drugs while at the White House.

In a tell-all report from The Washington Post, the outlet claims that Trump referred to his former ally on a phone call as "a big-time drug addict" in the aftermath of his public outburst. This, in itself, comes after Musk himself has admitted to using ketamine, which he claims was prescribed to deal with depression. In a separate piece from The New York Times, there were allegations that Musk used so much ketamine on the Trump campaign trail that it was affecting his bladder. White House officials have suggested that Trump's concern about Musk's use of drugs helped drive a wedge between them.

Posting on X following the NYT report, a defiant Musk said: "Also, to be clear, I am NOT taking drugs! The New York Times was lying their a** off. I tried *prescription* ketamine a few years ago and said so on X, so this not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but haven’t taken it since then."

During a press event following their spat, Trump was asked directly if he knew about Musk taking drugs at the White House. The President said: "I really don't know, I don't think so, I hope not,' Trump replied."

Even though it's said that Trump has no intention of reconnecting with the tech billionaire, he added: "I wish him well ... I just wish him well, very well, actually."

He was also asked if he was going to sell the Tesla he bought earlier this year, saying: "I haven't heard that, I mean, I may move the Tesla around a little bit."

Trump then confirmed he'll keep the Starlink system in place and said he never saw Musk's apparent physical altercation with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent: "No I didn't. They did have an argument, but I didn't see a lot of physicality there."

Even if there's been plenty of mud slinging, the President is keen to nip these sensationalist stories in the bud. Trump has also warned Vice President JD Vance to proceed with caution when addressing the Musk situation, suggesting the most explosive moments of the scandal have been and gone.
