People have managed to find a whole collection of tips and tricks thanks to ChatGPT, yet one life hack from the AI has left people on social media divided as some call it useless whereas others claim it's essential.
While it does appear to have quite a few issues that have resulted in some concerning events, there's no denying that millions of people across the globe have found ChatGPT and other AI tools to be incredibly useful over the past few years.
Even a relatively unpopular update hasn't stopped people from interacting with the tool every single day, and at the very least it seems to be more than capable of producing fascinating discussion points.
One in particular that has cropped up on social media involves life hacks, as an intrigued user decided to task the AI model with coming up with one that's 'so good it feels illegal'.

ChatGPT isn't always capable of obliging with otherwise simple requests, as anyone looking for wine glasses and reversed games can attest to, but it did manage to generate a fascinating response to this particular question.

"Here's one that will make you feel like you're cheating the simulation," ChatGPT revealed, detailing a potentially game changing travel hack that you might want to try out when you're next on a plane.
"If you're flying, book the cheapest economy seat... but bring a box of chocolates for the flight attendant.
"Hand it to them when you board, say something nice, and then watch what happens. Suddenly you're getting free snacks, extra drinks, and – if the flight isn't full – there's a mysteriously 'unoccupied' seat in premium economy with your name on it."
While this piece of advice can essentially be boiled down to doing something nice to get that back in return, it is an interesting proposition that could save you hundreds of dollars if you're lucky enough.

The difference between economy seats and even those in the next tier above can be eye-watering, yet a box of chocolates and a compliment doesn't cost more than $10 — and it could be even less if you pick them up at duty free!
One user in the comments of the Reddit post joked that flight attendants were behind this suggestion, but others have called into question quite how effective this would be in practice.

"As someone married to a flight attendant, sure chocolates so help in making them feel appreciated and responses may vary, some might give you an extra drink or once I got a 1.5L bottle of water in a long haul flight which was greatly appreciated, but never been upgraded by the flight attendants... So a bit of a stretch what ChatGPT is saying."

Another has simply suggested: "Please don't try this," and it's probably right to at best temper your expectations and at worst avoid anything that might make you come across as strange to those in charge of the flight.
